Hello World,

With the pre-order for the new limited edition The Frigates of EVE Online: The Cross Sections now out I was considering pre-ordering one of them. Fortunately for the USA it is only $80. It is a large amount for myself but I know it is going to the profit of CCP and their excellent hard work. I understand Dark Horse Books gets their chunk of it as well. With this in mind I was happily filling out the forms to purchase a copy. I stopped dead in my tracks when it came to selecting shipping methods. There are only two shipping methods for a USA Pre-Order of the limited edition book; Priority 2 Day shipping for $20 or Priority Express 1 Day shipping for $50. This brings the book's price up to $100 for the minimum shipping available. I am unsure if this is because of being limited edition, being shipped from the Jita direct, or what. I am unable to check if any other merchandise is only available in these two methods. I just find it strange that I cannot pay $10 or so for basic shipping that would take a week or so. It is not like I am ordering a completely fitted battleship through the postal service. It is only a book in a fancy box with a couple of extra stuff. (Still worth the original price) I would happily pre-order one of these limited edition books for $80 if the shipping wasn't a quarter of the original price.

I would like to suggest adding standard shipping on items, so mere ore miners like myself can have something nice and shiny once in a while.

Keep up the great work CCP and I am looking forward to more cross section books if you ever publish more!

uhm, im in the US.......

you should go down to your local Postal Office and check the prices fro shipping things of certain weights and sizes........

the $17 and some change is perfectly reasonable, i got mine because i wanted it and pricing is reasonable i think.
