EVE throws sm3 error, but netbook has sm3?

Hello, I'm currently having a problem specifically related to the title of this thread. Numerous search results and one call to asus tech support shows that my eeepc 1015px supports shader model 3 but currently EVE refuses to recognise that my netbook as this capability.

All help and suggestions are appreciated.

Does it actually support SM3 in hardware? A lot of these Atom-based netbook things use software emulation for SM3 which is why games don't always work.

EVE checks for hardware SM3. There was a thread years back when CCP were testing the first SM3-only client which covered this topic but I can't seem to locate it.
