So... you updated the Lore Portal! Yay??? Why no in-game access?

Any new (and old) player to Eve online would be hard pressed to realize there is ANY story to this game, let alone one as rich as the Chronicles and other sources demonstrate.

It's always baffled me as to why there is SO little integration of Eve's story / lore in the actual game itself.

Hell a good first start to this would be making the Chronicles (the whole Lore Portal) available directly in game. No, not through a web browser (since that's now gone anyway), but through an in-game interface, one with hyperlinks to additional and related stories and information.

The people, places and locations (planets, systems, sites) mentioned in Chronicles should provide links to their in-game representations. Planets in New Eden that have stories related to them should be available when examining the info on those planets. The 'Description' of planets (with enormous civilizations, with colonies, with outposts) are all the same bland description of a temperate or barren planet. We don't even see basic information like population (let alone more detailed information like GDP, imports, exports, culture(s), notable events and people, etc...) . To the average Eve player, New Eden is a pretty sterile uneventful place (outside the mundane everyday grinds and the occasional large player brouhahas.

Once you do this, don't hide the damn thing. Make it visible and easily accessible for players (particularly new players) to find and enjoy.

After that... there needs to be more ways to get players involved in the various (non player driven) stories of New Eden.

Speaking of which, did you know I went through almost the entire previous in-game event without even realizing it was happening! Not until the very last day did I find out since I caught someone mentioning that it was the last day! Pretty bad CCP. Pretty bad. Yeah, I know there was some info provided leading up to the event. And likely the beginning of it (which somehow I missed). But during the event, there was really no in your face way to let players know that it was happening. Let alone any in-game story drawing you in to and engaging you with the event.
