I have tried for two days to join faction warfare, but a little window keeps popping up telling me I am not regarded highly enough by my faction. It says I need 0.00 standing with my faction and currently I have 0.0000
I have run missions and quit my current corp, but nothing is working, and I cannot locate this statistic which says what my standings are with the minmitar republic. Standing with the corps and so forth yes. But in order to see what my standings are with the republic I have to click on the little logo in the upper right hand side of my character sheet.

So, please can someone help get me to the point that I can get into factional warfare?

Try doing a storyline mission for a Minmatar Republic corp. You can do a storyline mission after completing 16 missions for the same faction and of the same level.(You will know when you can do a storyline mission when you get an eve mail from an agent requesting your help.)

Looks like the the OP, Culamity Paiute, has successfully resolved the issue of not being able to join Faction Warfare. His profile now shows he's a member of Minmatar Faction Warfare Corporation - Tribal Liberation Force.
