Anyone have a list of programs that ccp has okayed for use by player and does anyone know if Ontopreplica falls under those.

Input automation and input broadcasting are violations of the EULA and TOS and will likely get you banned if caught. As long as you are personally controlling 1 character at a time, you should be OK. A window manager doesn't obviously break the rules as long as you can only control 1 at a time.

Even ISBoxer is OK if you just use it as a Window manager - the input broadcasting feature that allows you to send the same command to multiple clients is what will get you in trouble.

As far as I know, there is no list of acceptable programs - simply a list of unacceptable behaviors you can find in the EULA and TOS. Don't try to push the envelope - CCP is judge, jury and executioner. If they think you've crossed the line, you have.

Your best bet would be to submit a ticket and request the information officially rather than to rely on anything anybody here says. So, in the vent that they go after you, you have proof it was approved.

EDIT: I looked up that app you mentioned and I am guessing it would fall under the no category. You might want to edit the name out of your post.

Yes, the list is:

Use of any 3rd party programs is totally at your own risk.

Looking at the program you mentioned. Some of the things it can do will certainly break the EULA/ToS.

CCP's policy is that they don't ban or allow specific programs, they ban specific behaviors and third party programs are used at the discretion and risk of the player.

Looking at this list of features:

Quote:

  • Clone any of your windows and keep it always on top while working with other windows,
  • Select a subregion of the cloned window:
  • Store the selected subregions for future use,
  • Now with relative subregions from the window's borders.
  • Auto-resizing (fit the original window, half, quarter and fullscreen mode),
  • Position lock on the screen's corners,
  • Adjustable opacity,
  • "Click forwarding" allows to interact with the cloned window,
  • "Click-through" allows to click through the cloned thumbnail (especially useful with partial opacity),
  • "Group switch" mode automatically switches through a group of windows while you use them,
  • Non invasive installation doesn't require administrator elevation.

Those two I bolded are specifically disallowed by CCP's policies and personally I wouldn't use the program.
