So is the singularity server pretty much always up then??? And if so how often does it sync with our account on tranquility???

It's always up unless we need to reboot or update it. MIrrors from TQ happen as and when we require them, but we have a command "/copyskills" that applies any skills you have on TQ to the Sisi version of your character.

alright sounds good thanks :D

Is it ok to film and post the awesome sun-fight on YouTube later on? :D Besides this way I can catch if FPS drops below normal during certain FX ;)

Plenty of Youtubers post mass test footage videos. Like delonewolf here last fall during a command ship mass text: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtIzjivz13g

what´s the point with this "2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test"

Why not give people something they could use in Tranquility?

I've been online more and would love to see the new graphics. This sounds like a major battle and I'm not much of a fighter, would I benefit from this go around?

Of course, the mass test is for everyone. You don't have to be a fighter to join in and see the new graphics. You could even bring a frigate, like a lot do.

Bug Report - EBR-102539.

Hi, I would just like to say I've just looked into your report and am really sorry it is taking so long to resolve. Please though do not take a lack of resolution as am absence of action - there are few bug reports with that many internal comments. I hope we can resolve it for you (and any others who may be experiencing this issue) before too long, but as other people in various other threads have noted - non-widespread account-level investigations on the test environments take a back seat to a lot of higher priority items, so investigations that require input from potentially multiple teams within CCP, can take quite some time. Regrettable for those suffering issues with accessing Sisi, and we do sympathise, but just a reality of the live environment having to come first.

Because the test server is a test server. It's for testing things. On a server. If you test testing on the test server you are rewarded to test other stuff on the test server as well.

That said, there is a way to do it.

You would go to a special event agent on TQ and get a mission: "Go into the DED test environment and participate in a scheduled test of new capsuleer software systems". After you do so, you get a token on TQ that you can turn in to your agent for a reward. The magnitude of the reward would be about the same as you would get for a simple mission with an expected completion time of one hour.

Result: Yes, Sisi activity has an effect on TQ. But its no more of an effect then if the same player just did a regular mission on TQ.

Thank you for the reply.

I realise that SISI is just a nice to have service what concerns me is that whatever is causing this might make its way to TQ. There have been a few people posting in this area about this issue or others that look very similar, that number might grow into a heck of a lot of complaints if this does end up on TQ.

Off-topic: better lighting is always good so please improve the lighting of shipskin previews too, because they are often so dark that it's almost impossible to see how they really look like and you want to sell them, right? So showcase them and get rid of those cloudy faction backgrounds.

You still need to find the right balance of too much effects/lights (e.g. boosts) and not enough (skinpreviews).

EvE looks more and more pretty, just step back from time to time and don't get too much in love of your effect creations. Just because an effect looks good by itself doesn't mean it is a good choice seeing it every few seconds or in fleets with alot other stuff going on. Sometimes i feel i get blinded by the game if i don't zoom out to the max.

The sun preview looks great, good job on that. The hangars look already pretty good except i sometimes can't see some of the billboards due to limited camera angles / too high billboard position.

Sorry for the slightly of topic comment.

Best Regards

I would love to participate but for some reason my account on Singularity is showing as Alpha even though I was subbed on 21st March...

Can you help?

I've tried the old command to switch it -

/copyskills

/omega

No dice...

Some feedback on the performance side.

With the Nvidia GTX 960 (12GB) I was successful in bringing up 12 clients simultaneously at 2560 X 1600 graphics content setting all high, texture medium. Looks great!

Performance wise the cpu's (all 8) were at 82% , Memory was at 80% (12GB RAM)

The response times were slow, especially on switching windows. But all in all quite good. I never run that many clients at the same time.

While running the script (see sun, take gate, see sun, return to station -- maybe fight) on 3 clients at a time. Performance and response were good.

Some anecdotal feedback on visuals. It appears that seeing the text on info windows was a bit better then currently. Not sure if this was intended or just a result of the lesser saturation on white. But any thing that helps reading numbers and text easier while fighting ships (or rocks) is a great improvement.

Thanks!

What happens on the test server stays on the test server.

What you possess (in skills and ships/modules/etc.) on TQ gets mirrored over to the test server.

What you change on the test server does not go back over to TQ. Otherwise, people could buy tons of stuff for 100 ISK each (the price for everything on the test server cept for faction/deadspace, which isn't seeded, you gotta bring it with you) and mirror that back to TQ and my god... madness/the collapse of markets/etc. ;)
