Really what's the major downside?

Is another 5 hours really going to cause problems? Heck make each new level 2 hours each, and let us get down to 9 hours.

As a 5x or higher skill it's not like everyone is going to rush out to train it.

So the main reason they want the clone jump to be long is because it prevents an alliances influence from being extremely massive.
Lets say they make it so its 8 hours. That would mean "goonswarm" example could place them at 3 ends of their space, then they would be able to just clone jump with little consideration to any corner of their space to instantly defend, if someone wanted to attack from both sides, they let one side get reinforced defend one, and be able to clone jump to the other side to defend with no worries or having to do any logistics to position for that defense.

So I personally would love to be able to jump in and out of my implant sets at will, it would be too powerful for sov fights.

Oh, You're back.

Well, This is actually an idea I like, because I'm in several groups that do different things in different time zones because of reasons.

It would be nice to clone jump to a place to do things involving harassment and violence in a sphere I am not currently living in, and then hop in a SB and hang out afk in an enemy mining system and go to sleep for 6 hours or so.

When I wake up I could clone or deathclone jump back to home base to defend my own space from rocks or enemies. If I deathclone I could jump back to the frontiers of harassment and violence immediately. More content for me, and less wait to inflict content on other people. I would also get to jump again once I got back to work.

I like it.

Get some Eve. Make it yours.

This is a bad idea because CCP is trying to get rid of really large fights, they cause serious server problems and time dilation

Reducing this promotes really large groups because they can constantly be going all over their controlled space quickly to defend vs two smaller groups.
With the longer clone time the smaller groups can be more affective because the larger group has to split its forces or pick places to defend.

It was my understanding that Goonswarm can't do ***t these days.

Ha!

Referring of course to that time they got their asses royally handed to them and lost all their territory. Oh that was too hilarious. Sad little Goons. Big smile

But yeah otherwise, I get the point, but I'm sure we can get it below 19 hours without it being an issue.

it should be fine as long as its not as low as like 12 hours because that means they can defend both sides of their space in the same day without almost any logisitics

You do realize that's basically a satirical list of reasons this would be horrible and abused to heck and back, right?

Yes, I was aware. Was hoping that was conveyed in my sarcastic response. Hard to do in text, I know.

So if Advanced Infomorph Synchronizing has 5 new levels at an hour each, that would be 14 hours. Still better and less capable of being abused.

I don't really the the advantage or the danger. Most people probably play no than 3-5 hours. So now you can play, jump clone, do stuff there, and you log in the same time on the next day, you're ready to jump again.

I think a system similar to jump fatigue, where you can jump twice within a short time, then are locked down for much longer (like a few days) would be interesting.

just make it possible to jump back to the same clone you came from...so you canĀ“t abuse it with your Alliance and be everywhere, anywhere.

Could be a whole new Skill.

The whole point of the skill to reduce JC time was so people would have some leeway between when they last jumped and when they could swap clones for a different activity the next day, a problem that has been further significantly mitigated by Citadels.

The intent was always to keep the limit to roughly 1 jump per 24 hours.

support. the 24 hour limit is complete bs and no conducive to having fun.
the timer should be lowerer to 10 hours and the skill halfs it down to 5.

or implement the highway system so its not a pain to get around in game.
