New fighter hotkeys

Hi!

After the lateat patch there are some annoyances with the new fighter shortcuts.

1. When I use a hotkey to launch all fighters then all fighter squadrons launch but none of the squadrons are automatically selected. So I have to use two commands: launch all fighters and select all fighters. This should be fixed to: if all fighters are launched then they are automatically selected aswell (like with the UI button "launch all fighters").

2. Selecting tubes shortcuts should be changed. For example if I have all 5 squadrons selected and I use the select tube 1 shortcut key then only tube 1 should be selected. Currently if I have all 5 squadrons selected then the shortcut key only deselects tube 1. So in the end if I have 5 squadrons selected and I want to select only tube 1 then instead of being able to use the new shortcut key to select a tube I have to first use the deselect all fighters shortcut and then use shortcut to select tube 1 or deselect all tubes one by one except the one(s) that I want to select. That doesn't make it easier to manage fighters at all.

What do you people think? Should those shortcuts be changed to actually make using them easier or not?

Let me and CCP know!

Thanks!

I was going to make my own post regarding your 2nd point.

Currently, since the tube hotkeys work as toggles, it requires many key presses in order to micro fighters successfully.
The idea behind the hotkeys was to enable players to control fighters more finely, but that is not really possible with the current implementation. It currently takes 15 commands to give each squad of a super a separate action:

select tube 1 -> action -> deselect tube 1
select tube 2 -> action -> deselect tube 2
select tube 3 -> action -> deselect tube 3
select tube 4 -> action -> deselect tube 4
select tube 5 -> action -> deselect tube 5

A simple solution would be to either add new hotkeys or change the current ones to work in the same manner as mouse clicking the tubes work. This means that if I press the hokey for 'select tube 1" then only tube 1 will be selected, regardless of what ever was previously selected. If I wanted to select tube 2 in addition to tube 1, I would press shift+hotkey for tube 2, much in the same way that I would shift + mouse click tube 2 with the mouse. With this system, the same 5 actions as described above would require only 10 commands, as well as being more intuitive:

select tube 1 -> action
select tube 2 -> action
select tube 3 -> action
select tube 4 -> action
select tube 5 -> action

I know I and many others would greatly appreciate the option to have a "select tube" hotkey in addition to (or instead of) the "toggle tube" hotkey that is currently implemented.
