So, to further the analogy, you'd hire someone who knows the theory behind cynosural fields and jump drives, but has never actually even seen either one first-hand to repair and maintain your Widow?

Someone explain this to the little man here; I don't find the behavior tasteful, but the most recent crew rotation aboard my frig was a cultural mix. Frankly I don't give two roe eggs how someone makes their kids. I trust that my corporation knows best, but that isn't how it works everywhere.

So long as they aren't trying to scrogg each other's brains out on the job, what happens behind closed doors stays behind 'em. That being said we aren't all innocent here. Too many drinks on a Nugoeihuvi station, and suddenly I'm stuck trying to find a pair of pants and my telecom, calling first mate to try and pick me up before I lose a kidney in a back alley. Fun Times.

Separation of sex and love is real in Gallente culture. Also separation of sex and procreation is real and present in Gallente culture. Technological advances in anticonception and value of freedoms of individual person caused Gallente culture to look this way.

Amusing though it can be to tease Commander Kim, especially if there are no kittens immediately to hand for the bored to persecute, the essence of Liberty is that people can express their sexuality in any damn way they please. This includes being asexual, or entirely utilitarian about the act.

We have several patrons of Alice's Restaurant (where, I remind readers, you can get anything you want) who employ the more, ahem, vivacious of our boys and/or girls to present a temptation for them to resist. They apparently gain a certain 'spiritual' fulfilment from being tested, at least as satisfying as a physical reward. I know of several cults that practise abstinence as a virtue.
