I was excited to see how the cormorant looks sleek and sexy the old hull will always be iconic to me it was the first ship I wanted when i started EVE.

That being said I cannot say the same for the Chimera it looks like it got slammed on both sides and flattened almost as ugly as the sigil cut in half... I mean the Aeon...

I know ccp peeps work hard on the redesign but is there not like a pre-checkout or view on what the players think of the change or is it usually in suppository form?

CCP only cared what players thought one summer when thousands of people cancelled their accounts. This game is mostly about what Hilmar thinks, and the ones who stick around are the ones who mostly share his vision. However it explains the terminally low Peak Current User charts and the fact that EVE is dying.... still.

I actually like the new design, quite a bit. I wouldn't mind if it had stayed a bit bulkier, but I'm pleased with it, overall.

And, no, Eve is not dying. Seriously, shitbricks have been saying that since it started...

The only thing I could understand with it like most redone caldari ships now is that they are more shield reliant and therefore do not need to look as bulky per say as some armor based factions do.

I think they were trying to go for the cutting edge look and overshot a little...

The problem with design is that it is heavily subjective.

Personally i don't like new Chimera (yeah, it looks too Rokhy) but some people can find it pretty.

I think there should be some guidelines for faction shipline ideologies. Like Gellente: bulky and heavy, Amarr - royal and goldem, Minmatar - a lot of duct tape and rust, etc...
Not sure if these exist tho

Its pretty fantastic. They cut off the awkward little trex arm antennas sticking out of the sides as i like to put it.
Only downside is the missing overhang at the front of the ship which will always be the bridge to me.

Alternatively I hate the new corax. I like the tall vertical designs in that making of video. They should have ditched the old one and went for something more abstract. Just looks like an ugly little caldari meshed talos which is the ugliest gallente ship after tha algos.

There are not, otherwise soe wouldn't look like caldari ships.
We need a new gal/amarr faction

THIS !

And maybe the Players "saying" it over and over again are the ones that "died" and can´t find anything in Eve that fills their big gap of "Space Ship Adventure" :D

I cannot wait for the tears, salt and blood when they finally redesign the Raven.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

If EVE won't be dying - CCP would not make it as free to play (Alpha clones);
Anyone know how many of the existing players are Alpha?
And how old are Omegas playing?

I can bet that numbers would be thrilling;

And yeah - New Chimera looks ugly;
I see more comments what said the Chimera looks like a brick and they don't like change, than ppl who actually like it;
