I was wondering what is in general needed to tackle a capital like a carrier or rorq ? just a warp scrambler or does it need to be a bubble ?

Unless it's a super, just a normal disruptor will do.

Not that I enjoy giving him props, but Mystical Might Tackled a Super in A Cynabal for 10 minutes before the HICs came. PRE Log off fix.

Bump tackle pro tackle I believe the message of the day was.

Bump tackle is pro though I have a hard time believing a cynabal could do it to an SC. Youtube clip or gtfo basically. Anyways, anything with a point will work against normal capitals. Obviously you need to survive them long enough for help to arrive. I've done it in BC's though it's typically been under sentry fire. Without that you could potentially do it in a frig so long as you can tank or evade the drones. Obviously they can fit stabs like any other ship too, so if they are traveling you should probably go for dual scrams or something, just to be sure.

I actually think they may have been a You Tube clip of the Super Kill. It wasn't from the Cynabal POV but I think its out their somewhere.

If that story is true, it's the dumbest supercap pilot ever since he could have simply jumped out or logged off and beat the timer.

Managed to hold a thanatos for 15minutes with an arazu, faction point + damps whilst a fleet was put together in a WH.
Due to the TZ I had to switch ship once someone else had him pointed to put him down Lol

One disruptor, good sh*t.

The thing with capitals isn't in the tackle itself were the problem lays when your in a ship smaller than cruiser.
It's the staying alive which can get challenging... An average Capital barring Dread's usually has a couple of Smart bombs and a HUGE flight of drones...

Not saying it can't be done. I've done it myself once to a thanny with the afore mentioned "hero rifter" no less.
The trick was to cram the Rifter's available mid slots full of Racial jammers so it couldn't lock on me and thus the Capital in question couldn't use its Drones to get rid of my lil' frigate.

Was fun but damn challenging to keep at the right range without being killed by smarts or losing lock.
The thanny got away eventually by crawling behind it's owner's POS shields and warping out, which was ofc our fault for not bringing enough FP at the beginning.

In essence use a dedicated tackler or in case of hurry something that is fast, agile and can handle more than 500dps(from the reg.drone hordes, fighters dish about 2500) and you should be fine.

turn MWD on, ram ship, turn around quickly, repeat for 20mins. GL aligning to warp out when you keep bouncing around all over the place. He probably could have warped out, but ima place bets pilot was an idiot and only tried to warp to 1 thing instead of celestials in the direction he was facing as he was getting bounced :P

But yes, Carriers, Rorquals, anythign with a warp disruptor.

This however doesn't stop them from jumping out.
