Are +5 Implants worth it?

So first of all let me say that I realize they are very very expensive. This sets that thought aside.

So hear me out:

I am currently contemplating reactivating. I deactivated early last month because of my schedule which allows me very little time to play. However once the school semester comes to a wrap i'll have time to play again.

My idea was to leave my character subbed and training a specific skill plan so when i come back I can jump right back into the action, but i'll be 2 or 3 more months worth of skills richer (and then eventually 2 months later when the semester picks back up i'll be doing it all over).

So my question is, stick to +4 implants + the remap, or because i'll be training idly for such a while, will the +5s be worth it enough to make a large difference.

This obviously also assumes that while I am back and actively playing, my +4 or +5 toon will be sitting in a clone bay somewhere.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

My SP farm benefits from +5s greatly

Edit: on a serious note it's simple math. You have pretty exact effect from implant (there is formula somewhere about SP collecting speed which includes implant effect). And you have time for which you will benefit from said implant.
And you have skill injector with some price.

Add here that you need to spend PLEXes to keep your account active so it can collect SP.

Now put it all into game and you will see if you can just buy some injectors by your next return and get better benefit that having active account and +5s.

Download EVEMON and run the numbers. Select your character, make a plan, at the top of the plan page there is an implant calculator that will show you time saved. Depending on how you are setup it could save you 5 days or so in a 30 day period versus having no implant.

They'll pay off after about 4 months if you don't lose them.

Every +1 to both primary stats is: 90 SP/hour; 2160 SP/day; 64,800 SP/month; 788,400 SP/year.

My alt in nulsec has a full +5 set. When I want to PvP, I clone-jump to a clone in the staging system without implants.

I still remember good old days when there were +7 implants. It is pity that all rare & elite items go away from EVE.

Are they still even working if they for god knows whatever reason is still in your head?

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

+5 Attribute Implants are definitely worth it, especially if your character isn't going to be very active in-game.

I've had my full set of +5 Attribute Implants for over 7 yrs now, never bothered with Neural Remaps due to setting my Attributes for 'Jack of all skills' training.

Intelligence......22 + 5 = 27
Perception.......20 + 5 = 25
Willpower.........20 + 5 = 25
Memory............20 + 5 = 25
Charisma.........17 + 5 = 22

Currently Training Black Ops 5 @ 2250 SP/hour
Average SP/hour = 2,198
Total Skill Points = 167,531,116

+5s are great to have for an afk clone like you plan to use. cyber 5 is a bit of a long train, but I figure you need it for any sort of shiny implant so might as well train it. And like some others have said keep the +5 clone in a safe area and you shouldn't lose them. Speaking of that I should really probably just jump to my +5 clone while I figure out what to do next.

Just inject later, unless you can squeeze some playtime and a fair bit of passive income from your account. The numbers are:

From +4s to +5s you'll gain about 130 k extra SP over a two PLEX cycle (60 days)

Those 2 PLEX spent on injectors will buy about 3 skill injectors, which will inject:

450k SP if you are over 80 million SP already, or
900k SP if you are between 50 and 80 million SP already, or
1.2 M SP if you are between 5 and 50 million SP already.

And spare injected SP can be used on off-map skills too, which is pretty sweet.

They are and only were ever giving out as event rewards anyway.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

Given. Not "giving".
You might want to change your sig.
