Have you heard the news? CCP will introduce instant CONCORD intervention in hi-sec, to be released in next patch...

Hi Vanessa!

That's 'Hasta la vista', baby.

Know that The New Order of Highsec cannot be thwarted by mere mechanics. It's like trying to strangle a spectre with your bare hands.

If you - or those you appear to support - wish to defeat us, you must do so first upon the battlefield of Ideas. What's that? You don't have any?

Fail.

While I do agree that some of the CODE-isms get a bit over-used, Sasha didnt use that phrase in this instance.

So why did you quote him?

Dearest Vanessa, Clockwork Robot is correct in pointing out your non sequitur. I'm obliged to him.

I've an idea why you were reduced to putting together such a vapid comment; you were utterly unable to address a single one of my 3 statements.

There are 2 possibilities (well, 3, but the 3rd is easily dismissed). One is that you disagreed with what I said but couldn't summon the effort to respond properly.

The second possibility (and the more likely one) is that you understood not a word of what I was saying. To cover your incomprehension you dashed off what appeared to you to be a suitably combative response.

Alas, combative the response may have been, but it bore not the faintest relation to what I was saying.

I'm sure you're an intelligent and engagingly thoughtful person, Vanessa. It's just a shame that so little of those qualities is on display this afternoon.

.....and yet, still you fail to respond to my comments.

I, however, was brought up to answer my critics; so, I shall answer this one.

I am not a housewife. They're rare now, but were very common during my childhood. I had and have a great deal of respect for them. They did a lot more than 'clean the dishes' - and most of the ones I knew were proud of their homes and their role in home-making. Things are different now. No-one wants to do the dishes, so it's install-a-machine time!

I'm never bored, being one of those people whose mind generates interest like a running tap. What you call 'verbal diarrhea' is simply my manner of writing; my 'style', if you like. I'm sorry it taxes you.

I work largely from home, but do take walks abroad, in fair and foul weather alike. My keyboard is my slave, not my master.

If you want a break from me, dear Vanessa, it can be easily achieved by your taking your own advice. Or, if you really can't abide my being in the same thread as your esteemed self - why, block me!

I await your response to my original post, and anything you can come up with to this one (always presuming that you've understood it). You can use any words which come into your head; just make sure they're the relevant ones.

Hardly. Roll I never said we were a secret organization, I said we work behind the scenes; that is, our work doesn't involve killboard whoring or flashy propaganda pieces, but simple outreach via private channels and in-chat discussions.

So you guys don't do anything? Am I getting that right?

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

I'm not totally convinced Sasha isn't a James McDom alt, all of them have excellent writing styles. But if there's one thing we can't abide, it's trash-talking literate folks. Brevity has it's time and place, but asking someone to stop typing, stop expressing? No sir. And this isn't even hateful speech.

Also, you're asking someone you are directly responding to, "Give us a break". Come on, man.

"Now that... I can't abide."

CODE. is just a bunch of in-game sociopaths who get their kicks by picking on the easy targets of Hi Sec.
They do add texture to the game though. I don't think Eve would be Eve without allowing groups like them.

I just think the balance has been a bit too much in their favor the last 6+ years, ever since the original destroyer buff.

What's wrong with what the Solitude Rangers are doing? Why, nothing at all! In fact, we've done far more to create better pilots with a few weeks of giving out simple helpful advice and data than CODE have done in years of bullying, ganking and propaganda. If you want to pick on the weak, fine. If you want to extort other players, fine. Just do everyone a favour and stop pretending it's for some kind of noble cause, because it's not. You shoot more human players than bots (if minerbumping is any indication), you cause billions in losses for players who don't know any better and all you have to offer is a bunch of faux-cult nonsense and a condescending 'calm down, miner'.

You're not helping anyone. You never have. If you continue to claim otherwise, you're either a very persistent troll or abysmally stupid.

Who are you to tell us how to play this game? If you want to enforce your laws or morals on us feel free to shoot us or plex our accounts, till then, you're not the boss of me, thats what a sandbox is all about!

Also, well done fellow agents on getting him to reveal his location and how long his seditious rebel organization has been operating. Excellent work, great interrogation skills. Fantastic.

Hello again, Alessienne (wonderful name, by the way; reminds me of Bizet's 'L'Arlésienne', but I digress...)!

If you take a quick look at yesterday's Miner Bumping 'Kills of the Week' blog, and the third incident described, you'll notice something which pokes a rather noticeable hole in the apparently smooth sheen of your argument.

'Parthanon' piloted a triple anti-tanked Charon into - you guessed it - Uedama, while carrying ~10 billion isk of cargo.

The freighter's base 142,500 HP (that's base) required only 38,000 worth of damage to dispatch the monster. Three Expanded Cargohold IIs saw to that. Reinforced Bulkheads? Not a bit of it! Max 1 billion isk cargo? Away with you, miscreant! Red Frog Freight? Who?

In your La La Land-imagination 'Parthanon' can probably be forgiven for being ignorant of such matters; clearly a new player making an understandable error or two. Someone, perhaps, deserving of and receptive to initiatives like 'advice' and 'support', from 'Rangers' and 'anti-ganking'.

'Parthanon' is a 2010 character.

ZKillboard's Highsec records show a depressingly persistent unwillingness for people who should know better to avail themselves of the common sense to do so. It isn't ignorance; it's wilful ignorance.

We apply pressure to the laziest and most egregious bot-aspirant players in the game. Without player-imposed consequences for pure-yield, AFK and botting-style play, there would be no game left in highsec. You would have a bunch of silent players sitting in max-yield fit exhumers, mining while watching Netflix, not interacting or doing anything engaging, just than staring blankly at their computer screen watching a mining hold fill up. There needs to be consequences for fitting choices, and players who do keep some awareness of the universe around them and spend effort on their defense should be rewarded by having their competitors exploded for them.

You may not see it, and will never admit it, but the Code is designed to save you from your worst impulses. Like many short-sighted miners, you appear to want mining to come with no risk nor require any thought or effort spent on defense. Despite your inclinations, if CCP changed mining to be like your ideal, the game would suffer immensely. New Eden, and its economy are founded on conflict, and if everyone decide to hang up their weapons of war and sit around holding hands and grinding stuff into the universe now in safety, the economy, and thus the motivation for so many people to play, would just collapse and the game grind to a halt.

Someone has to provide player-driven risk in highsec to create content and serve out consequences on bad, lazy, greedy and clueless players, and that thankless job has fallen to the New Order of Highsec as one of the last sources of player-created stories for highsec. Feel free to keep imagining that the 100% safe highsec you yearn for would be good for the game, but both CCP, and the New Order know what is best for you and will continue to keep you at risk and actually playing a player-driven, competitive sandbox PvP game (as opposed to a single-player FarmVille clone) like Eve Online is intended to be.

I wasn't talking about stupid or greedy players, I was talking about the noobs who lose their barges. Gank as many idiot veterans as you like.

@Black Pedro: Spare me the propaganda speech. Contrary to what CODE might believe, I DON'T want a risk-free highsec. I DON'T want one more nerf. I do, however, want people like you to stop trying to convince everyone you're helping anyone and just admit to being what you really are, stop it with the 'permit' garbage and just be a regular criminal/pirate/terrorist alliance. If CCP frowns on you killing noobs just because, cowboy up and go find some bigger, profitable targets. If you want to extort someone, try extorting noob corps with the threat of wardec. If you want to be terrorists, put some effort into it! You'll still get your salt harvest, but you won't be annoying the everloving poo out of most of the EVE universe (and scare some lazy players straight while you're at it).

But what you're doing now amounts to little more than cowardice with a side order of trolling, and people are sick of it. STOP.

EDIT: My alt mined another 30,000m3 of ore today. I was mostly AFK, except to issue fresh commands to the mining and combat drones. No permit. My alt regularly breaks the Code of Halaima over his knee except when he goes into lowsec for whatever ores he can't get in highsec. He's in a Porpoise in Sinq Laison if you want to prove you're not cowards.
