Well, I'm a new player in EVE. My best ship is a Thorax and I'm still Alpha. I currently get money by using my other player to explore and give me the rewards. I'm trying to save up enough money to get a Talos, and a good fit. (By then I will be Omega.) I have around 10mil at the moment but need 70 mill for the ship. (spare any change?) What are good, fast ways to earn the ISK????

At that level....

1. Do career missions... you get about 10 million isk and a bunch of ships.
2. Sell the ships at a trade hub.
3. Repeat 3 times (there are 3 sets of agents for each race)

Honestly, that should get you pretty close.... mine or mission for the rest to get to 70m.

You can station trade as well but at a 10m isk level it's hard to make much. There are also a lot more money making opportunities as an omega (particularly Planetary Interaction).

Side note: What do you plan to do with that Talos? Because it's not a general use ship.

I've been doing Project Discovery. I get over 1m per tick.

In the past week I've probably earned 100m.

However, it isn't for everybody ... just like all ways to earn ISK in EvE. Find something you like doing!

Salvaging lvl4's for those who do not want it gives a decent boost. A destroyer is all you need and some patients. If you use an mobile tractor with salvage drones you can do it without even watching the screen. You make more this way than lvl 2 missions. Never got to lvl3's so not sure which is best.

Scanning down lost drones in lvl 4 mission hubs, you don't incur a flag for scooping them and some of them are quite expensive. For example a single Gecko will cover most of the price of a Talos.

Don't break rule #1, and don't fall for the bigger is better trap.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

This.

My addition is a little late but keep it in mind. The Gala event just ended. During which I scooped 9 Geckos. And a bunch of expensive faction drones.

People leave them floating all over. Grab an expanded probe launcher and some Sisters Combat Scanner Probes and head to a mission hub. Open filters on your scanning interface and uncheck everything but "drones". Sometimes they are floating, sometimes you startle the mission runner as you warp into their site.

Scan down Mobile Tractor Units too. Sometimes the mission runner gets gobbled up by their own MTU and when you pop it all kinds of nice mods are inside. It's like Christmas! You get a suspect flag for doing so. Keep your eyes on d-scan for other combat probes scanning you down. Much easier to scan ships...

I want to use it to protect miner oporations in wh or lowsec. Maybe to some missions too. I'm also thinkng of a 4 railgun 4 blaster fit. If there is a better ship to this with, please tell me.

Greater risk = greater reward

If you are prepared to go suspect u can make that 10 mill again in one session just loot
Wrecks and drones that aren't yours and sell them.

I made 1.5 mill for 15 minutes work looting t2 drones that weren't mine.

If u do go suspect be aware people can blow you to bits. Pod too so
Be ready to run.

Use something small, agile, fast loot and (if others around) warp. If you're not comfortable
Flying around suspect then dock up. Sell your loot and wait 15 mins. Rinse and repeat.

You can just travel around looking for wrecks and drones.
Or u can use combat scanner probes and scan down things in space. Most mission runners in hi sec will
Not fire At you because if they do you are also permitted To defend yourself and have rights to kill them and their pod. Care Bears will just ignore you. U should maybe dual prop your ship.

This is when u fit a micro warp drive and an afterburner on the same ship. U can't run both modules at the same time but u can use them seperatley. This might help u get away if I get scrammed. A warp scrambler will prevent u using your microwarpdrive but it will Not stop u using ur afterburner. If u do get scrammed or disrupted an icon will appear over your capacitor.

Don't panic

Hover over the icon and it will tell you who is doing it.
And also if your being warp scrambled or warp disrupted.

Warp disruption does NOT stop u using ur microwarpdrive. So in this case activate mwd(microwarpdrive) and double click away from whoever is doing it. U will burn away from them. Once out of disruption range u can warp away safely. If ur being scrambled activate your afterburner and burn away from them till out of scramble range (icon above capacitor will disappear)

You should also fit a web so if u are warp scrambled web the guy who is scrambling u and burn away as instructed above.

But I think for the most part people will be too afraid to fire at you suspecting a tarp.

Hope this helps

Good luck fly dangerous

Collecting inactive drones does not flag you as suspect and you can't collect active drones (unless you use a Command Destroyer).

You are right, it will! And drive-by-looting while alinged is an art every newbie should learn Lol

But the Drones you leave behind when you warp away are "white" and for eveyone free to swoop :)
Come here little Gecko.. come'ere...

^ Good points Lucian.

Also, i advise spending some time getting used to survival in lowsec (and further). Don;t focus on killing anyone for a few days just focus on traveling around and not being caught. Learn about faster aligning ships being better, learn about safe spots and dscan. Once you are no longer afraid of lowsec you can graze for decent isk and be better prepared for eventual PvP combat practice.

Being comfortable in the space you're in will make the world of difference to your gameplay.

Yeah if you're really lucky you'll come across a faction drone or a gecko and nets 10's of millions of one drone

When you do level 4 missions it is always worth it to scan for drones at 14 AU. And always, always bookmark every site you do or you will donate your drones too...
