Please Please Please

Add the option to

"add skill to the next available Queue"

So instead of adding a skill to the bottom of a 40 skill queue and then dragging it up, or instead of dragging a skill to the top row and trying to figure out where it meets the pre-req's, can we just:

Right click
Add to next available

And the skill we be added, starting from the top down, and will find the first available spot it can be trained?

Meaning if you are training Minny Cruiser's and you want to add it to level 5, you can just keep clicking " add to next available" and it will insert the skill at the top for level 1, then level 2 will index right below lvl 1, etc etc

You can also add the feature to "train to level XXX"

So we can just click on minny cruiser and select

train to level:
->1
->2
->3
->4
->5

Then if you could grab Multuple skills and move the entire group.

Just random thoughts.

Thanks for the awesome support!

Organizing your queue isn't a bad idea but you want to add a button for a process that takes 3 seconds to drag and drop a skill. I'd rather CCP spend their time anywhere else

I didn't realize that they could only one on on single thing for all eternity....

The one thing they could do with skill queues is to organize all the categories in a way that made sense.

The skills themselves are organized alphabetically, but the categories are a random mess.

Why did they spend the time to change a perfectly functional skill-queue to the rubbish we have now? Looks, I guess. It's not functionality or user-friendliness.

And your system never works for me - It takes several attempts to get the skill move to 'take'. Most of the time nothing happens. Moving a block like:

Jump Freighter I
Jump Freighter II
Jump Freighter III
Jump Freighter IV

Up, say, six places in the queue takes over a minute for me given all the failed attempts. Is this lag, or should I bug report this?

I'd bug report that, because I just drag and drop my queues every time.

I think I might. One more thing: in the example above I can click on jump freighter I, and shift click on jump freighter IV to select all four skills, but can *never* get such a block of skills to move. Does this method a work for anyone else?

If your skill queue has about 50 skills and you are trying to add another one to the right place it can get... frustrating. Especially since there is not that much space anymore (picture of character and all that stuff above) and there is only a small part of the queue you can see.

My suggestion would be to maintain your skill plans in Evemon.

It is a decent work-around and one that I particularly enjoy using. You can import plans from EveMon with ease, allowing you to choose a plan (lets say you want a JF, you add in the skills you want and EveMon manages the prerequisites very nicely) then it's good to go.

Oh your corp just got a new doctrine that is a priority to train? No problem, design the doctrine fit in EveMon, then clear your skill queue and import the new one. Once it's finished, you re-import your JF plan.

On that matter, you can also import multiple plans from clipboard (to which EveMon will export to) and append them to the existing queue. So if you need the above, you can simply clear your queue, import the doctrine queue, then import the JF queue.

Faulty argument: the length of time is not the only consideration for the severity of the wait. You must also consider how often it happens. And for some of us I'm sure, it happens many times.

Or we could argue that CCP should stop trying to combat lag spikes because they only last a fraction of a second. Who cares that some folks experience a lag spike every mouse click.
