Hello everyone,

I am a returning player in EVE and i just started playing my second month now. i've been in a corp recently where i explored things that i didn't know in the past. combat, exploring, PI etc. (consider me as a newb surely Roll)
i have my skills enough to fly amarr and caldari BS and for the time being my income is based mostly on missioning(lvl 4s) and exploring.
I am thinking of rolling a second character as a support to my main. What skills would you suggest to start on my alt if its a great choice to roll one finally? and how that support chartacter can bring me more ISK? is there a chance to do lvl 5 missioning with those two on BS?

Thanks for all of your answers/opinions in advance. I am very happy i'm back.

Why does your main character need a support character?

You should identify a need before you attempt to satisfy it.

For isk try getting into wormhole space, two bs should get most sites up to class 3 easily. Then train both toons for pi and mining! Remember to salvage the sleeper wrecks.

Hello and welcome back to Eve.

Your 2nd character could be a great help in a lot of ways, acting as a Scout, being a DPS back up as well as providing Logistics support for Shield, Armor and Capacitor Repair. Not to mention various types of EWAR.

Or it could be used for Marketing, Manufacturing, Researching BPO's, Hauling, etc. The choice is yours, figure out just exactly what supporting role is needed and then train up the appropriate skills.

Good luck to you and may you have a long and rewarding career here in Eve.

I was thinking to roll a second character for more ISK/hour. either this could be finishing lvl 4s in half time or if can get in to lvl5 ones.

its just a thought. Lol

Thank you DeMichael!

Actually yes i was thinking of that logistics support you mention with shields, cap etc. is there a possibility to do something along this side on lvl5 for example for better profit? considering the bounties but most important the LP's they gave?

Manufacturing is also interesting but i heard from others that it could get you a year or more to actually start making real money. so i do not know. maybe i need to research more on this, but in any case i wanted to hear some opinions from you guys playing all this time i was off as a starting point.

Well, the general consensus is to use a Carrier to run Level 5 missions. Course that's mainly for going solo. If no Carrier, then a small Fleet with Logistics would be the next option.

Manufacturing does indeed take some time to actually see a profit but I don't recall it taking a year or more. It all depends on amount of time invested, your skills, the market status, product type, etc. There's a lot of different variables that can and do affect it.

Just remember that doing research on any topic will definitely increase your chances of success.
