[March] Mining Drone Specialization skill and T2 Mining Drones

Good news. Mining drones should be improved for their's yield. But this one is still not enough.

There are so many types of mining drones now... but only one salvage drone.

We need t2 salvage drones before they expand mining drone selection even further, IMO.

why do we need t2 salvage drones?

if it is just because

"there is only one atm" that is not a good reason

I tested the changes on Sisi and it's really great, I have the mining drone specialisation skill to IV and it really shows a difference, the speed bonus is definitely cool.

And yes the "mine repeteadly" with F shortcut that finalyworks now, it's AWESOMEBig smile

Can we have T2 salvage drones, with perhaps a higher salvage access chance compared to T1 drones
and a bit more maximum velocity and hp/resistances Question

they would have to nerf the base mining drone amount so the yeild stayed the same... unless you some how think exhumers need a yeild buff? they already use mining drones better than the barges.

That's why they buffed mining drone rigs. Plus Procurer and Skiff have drone HP bonuses.

I would imagine not as the augmented ones have a base mining amount of 37m3 and T2 only 33m3 and both will recieve the bonus 2% per level. It just means we can eek a little more out of our t2 drones without having to pay out for the augmented ones.

Only reason to add a t2 salvage drone is if it can salvage advanced wrecks of players and npc's.

Forget the ability to have 2-3 defense drones.. Just want to be able to mine more than one block of ice with a drone every 4 minutes.. T2 Ice Harvester drones are worthless... Can't be arsed to use them.. Would rather just use my mack.. Twice the ice in half the time.

to be fair you can find plenty of places where i show i do not agree with things that come from my ideas some times even in the same post. You can also find plenty of areas i agree with people. but saying "yeah that sounds good" is far less helpful then pointing out flaws it just maybe makes some one feel better




as for what i was saying

unless you have a valid argument that Exumers do not mine enough and need a buff to yield. the only way to keep balance giving them a drone yield buff would be to nerf the overall yield of Exumers so that the max potential yield stayed the same. none of that is random but i can see how the "please make my stuff better' mentality can make it hard to think critically. And they do use mining drones better than barges they have more mids this lets them add more drone nav comps upping the movement speed of mining drones at the cost of reduced tank.
