I have been away from eve for a little over a year due to losing my job and most of my income. My main is a 2006 toon and i have 4 accts, 2 over 1 mil SP and 2 in the 800000 range. I can now afford to omega 1 account and part time a 2nd... mebbe.

That said I left BRAVE in 2005, just after the coup and then the other coup that brought lychton back and just before BRAVE left fountain. I love Brave and I REALLY love playing with new players. Nothing is more saisfying than hearing a 1 month old player get their first killmail, or grasping one of eve's complex systems for the first time.

The 3 corps I have been considering are Brave, Pandemic Horde, and Karmafleet, I have been logged into their recruiment channels and done some research on their current situations but lots has changed in the last year and a half and I wanted to see if I could put out my feelings from my short term research and see if you all might be better informed.

1. Brave:
I loved the time I was there, I thought Lychton was useless and felt bad for Malanek who, I think, was trying to do the best for the alliance and got used and burned. Cagali Cagali is perfect for them and he always seemed to put the "noob corp" ideal first. I notice now that they seem to be moving from the fade, cloud ring area back to catch. I think Catch is where they belong, between to the oddballs that live in provi ( sorry guys I am a fan of you all but you do march to your own toon) and their inebriated brother TEST. My question, has this new SOV mechanic mitigated the role of the super cap as was intended? If it has then Brave is completely capable of holding their own. If it has not, then without a loyal supercap alliance to back them they will continue to be over powered and remain too unstable.

2.Pandemic Horde
I thought they were a PL joke used to weaken Brave and would end soon as their usefullness did. I am not a fan of PL and I believe they, at least in my past experiences, behaved in a manner that was contradictory to the good of the game as a whole and by their actions forced a lot of new players to walk away from eve. Oddly they are currently my top choice, they appear to not just be cannon fodder for PL or a tool to be abused, they seem to have lots of interesting things going on for new players, and they are the most open to join. I like high sec recruitment and I don't think you should make the process difficult for new players to join, they have enough **** to figure out.

3.Karmafleet
My first choice after BRAVE before I left. I have seen little activity on their recruiment channel. I worry that there may be some sort of mayhem brewing inside Goons, since world war Bee that will destabilize the whole mess soon. They are the most difficult to join and have requirements that make it difficult to recruit and make it hard for new players to keep up. I miss the goons of old, swarms of noob ships, and the open, if somewhat rowdy, mayhem they used to cause.

So i am looking for a stable place, with an open door policy, that isn't afraid to suck sometimes and is willing to be patient with new players. I want to help teach eve to new players and show them all the aspects that make this game a blast. I think eve is at a turning point and if it doesn't make itself more new player oriented it will die a slow death.

Hello and welcome back to Eve,

I really can't say anything about the Sov Alliances you mentioned but since you wanna help and teach new players, maybe check out Eve University or just take a few new players under your wing and be their mentor.

Anyway, good luck to you and may you have a much longer and more rewarding career here in Eve.
