I PROPOSE A SOLUTION AND IN CAPS SO EVERYONE CAN HEAR ME!!!1

ALTS NEEED ALTS!!!

yes! We dont need less or more alts, what we need is ALTS that Have ALTS themselves!!!

So the Cyno/Scout/Capital alts can go do whatever alts do in their off hours and let their little midget alts do the dirty work!!!

YES!

And after that, ALTS that have ALTS that have ALTS of ALTS up to MAINS!

YEAH!

And we come full circle, all will be well.

Also I'm an Alt of a Main that has another Alt but changes skills on other alts but not his main.

How would you go about banning an alt? For that matter, determining if the character is an alt rather than another person?

People will just use another email address for signup, and IP is useless because more than one user can easily share an IP, depending on their setup, and failing that, spoofing IPs is easy enough.

So not only is your idea a bad one (IMO), its one that most likely would be impossible to implement.

Is this supposed to be a mockery of me? Because nowhere in this thread did I make a post in all caps....

Well for the same computer, can't the client be made to check if another client is running and shut it down?

As for multiple computers, I do not know.

You failed in logical discussion so you resorted to taking words out of context? Shame on you!

In theory it could, but there are many ways to prevent the client from picking up the other client.

Such a venture would be even more pointless than a total all out war on botting. Waste of money, and eventually, CCP would lose.

I thought companies that produced MMO's had a way of checking the programming client side, making sure that no illegal mods were in place so that they could keep track of this. Is this wrong?

VM.. enough said.. if needed..

Anyway the reasoning beyond "no alts" is weak as i see it.
There are people who like to play "solo"
And there is a lot of people who group up / corporations / alliances / incursion runners

Dont see an reason to cut it. It would certainly not help anyone, since they already can have what they want, it will just restrict those who dont want to rely on others for every single move.

"ended to forget earlier post"....

You haven't pointed out any false claims (because I haven't made any), and if I made any arguments about something you didn't say, it's probably because I didn't understand you because... well.. see above quotes.

I don't think that from 30.000 online log on to 5.000 online log on would be such good idea also what an waste of thread space.

I was trying to be at least somewhat polite, but what I was trying to say is your english sucks and it's hard to understand. Try learning english first before you insult someone in it...

If that much of the players online are alts, then this game has truly failed as an online game.

Also, your post is a waste of posting space :P

Sure, OP, ban the alts. How long would it be before you'd be here on the forums starting posts that EVE is dying, or perhaps maybe you whining that you don't have any more easy kills because a majority of your kills were killing peoples' alts. Blink

solo PvP in Eve is already pretty much dead and broken, so this is kind of a moot point...
