Hehehehehehe.

Rus Bloc players will keep coming at you, even with only one remaining limb, having gnawed off the other 3 on traps.
They just get angrier and more determined as a result.

Its beautiful, and so perfectly EVEish to behold.

Mearly a flesh woundLol

@Salvos other reply Yes one of the intriguing parts of Eves history was the start of that insular nature in Eve due to the Cyrillic client hack. I still remember the very old nature of the antagonism between West and East because of this. And as for the botting purge, yes it was a VERY needed thing in game regardless of who was responsible.

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

I have seen players who would stalk their prey for even a week or more if the target flies expensive ships. Using scouts, "afk" cloakers, etc to learn their habits and then striking at the right moment.

This is nothing, I have personally taken part in much more autistic cat and mice games.

You have a spreadsheet of players that might not even have logged in for years still on your list with notes on what they do and when you expect them to move their supercapital.

Then you do all the trades and forms like neutral cloaky unaffiliated alts as eyes and use locator agents on all his known characters to see if they are moving.

I also was very actively hunted myself a few years ago when Jihadswarm (Now known as CODE and Miniluv) had a campaign to hunt and exterminate all professional haulers in the game.

Hunting in this game is a lot of fun, both small and big game.

Fanfest presentation on sociology of Eve players, at 29:23: Players from post-USSR are statistically the most risk-taking of us all.

I agree with Salvos, wish Russian players would comment here more. Feels kind of wrong to be discussing their general characteristics as a certain group, but they're not discussing them back. (Even though everything being said about them is positive-- hell yeah cunning stalking brawling loyal tenacious wolf pack).

Russian players are an entirely different breed.
They have an entirely different perspective on gaming.
One, btw, which is extremely admirable in EVE.
I wish we had more Russian input here on this forum.

They never give up, never stand down, are pathologically territorial, fanatically loyal, never forgive or forget, and will pursue you till the end of time and space, no matter the cost.

There is good, perpetually re-affirmed reason why "Never **** with the Russians" is a true rule in EVE.

The plus side is if you leave them alone, or approach them with friendly intent, they will most likely reciprocate.
If you manage to make friends with the Russians, you have a friend for life that will always have your back.

OP: I recommend you send that guy a GF mail. He will respect you for that and who knows what benefit that might lead to in your future.
He spent a whole day hunting you down, and won. He deserves a GF. Ask ypurself, would ypu rather have such a person as a friend, or an enemy? ;)

I had a Russian miner put a $20M Isk bounty on me. All I did was orbit his Procurer for a couple minutes. He was PISSED. Go figure.

The RMT empires are predominantly Russian. Botting - Russian. Hacking and account exploits - definitely Russian. If it weren't for Serenity being on a seperate server cluster the Chinese and Russians would turn Tranquility into the Gong Show. The West (Europe/USA) is basically the end consumer of the majority of RMT. Banned accounts are probably an event split.

Russian players are some of the most ruthless pricks in EVE - a reputation they've worked hard for. But hey, when EVE is a primary source of RL income you're bound to be a bit touchy...

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.
