I think named and big expansions gives a better feeling

I think CCP should go back to the original way of releasing content, big named and themed expansions full of changes.

Gives a better feeling and gets people hyped to play.

These little tasteless patches that most people ignore even to read the patch notes, are a game killer and a monotonous disappointment.

What do you guys think?

i think that people are stupid.
and big named and themed expansions fit them very well!!!!!!!!

let idiots be attracted by those! yea ccp should go back to them.

as for me... i will still enjoy little changes, step by step, basically how you build a good game.

p.s. when i talk about stupid people and idiots... i'm talking of me TBH! i love big expansions Cool

100% agree. As logical as everyone here likes to be, everyone is attracted by new shinies.

This post brought to you by CCP's alpha forum alt initiative. Playing the eve forums has never come cheaper.

I like a mix, which is what I thought CCP went back too...

Big expansions when needed for bigger features/changes, and smaller tweaks in between to fix bugs and introduce smaller bots of content. This way you can release big concepts but don't have to wait for every last detail to be finalized. I mean imagine how long we would be waiting if Citadels/complex were all one patch? Better to get the big part out then use the point releases for tweaks and smaller additions.

For those who haven't been paying attention in the last year CCP agrees with you which is why they're doing both; releasing the big content expansions as well as the small semi-regular bug fixes/smaller feature patches.

i like the mix. It makes sense to have little fixes and changes and things that can be dropped now come out every 5 weeks and not have to sit and wait 6 months to 1 year to be dropped into a expansion. Still have large expansions, but keep the smaller updates. Its a good mix

getting bug fixes and minor updates twice a year sucked, lets not go back. The big things get their expansions and the little things get properly taken care of, this way is win win as far as I can tell.

Agreed. But they could come up with something more exciting than "119.1" and "119.2", no?

Agree 100%.

Also I liked the big expansions that rolled out every 6 months, most had a lot more content than all of these little 6 week game patches that usually just add polish to stuff that doesn't really need it.

That totally destroys gameplay Roll

Citadel expansion
Ascension expansion

CCP do have names for the major releases, the dot releases and bug fixes just get dot names.

Seems no matter what CCP do, Carebears are going to cry.

Totally. Crying in Eve is the equivalent of this:

Im alright with the way it is now and have to agree with the small stuff getting changed faster is better. I dont need hype around every single little expansion. Its like trying to have a monthly birthday. Even after a while birthdays are just another day as you get older nevermind if you tried to have one every single month.Roll

And no the "119.1" style is fine as it stands.

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

Even now I still remember Red Moon Rising and Empyrean Age as signposts for big changes.
Maybe next time when CCP makes similarly massive changes they could tag it with a name.

I joined this game during Empyrean Age. The next few years after that was a great time here in Eve.

Now about Patch 119.2221323.99

Are you referring to Incursion expansion ? When the new Character Creator was added ?
