Does the in game fitting tool work?

I was in tengu and opened the fitting tool the dps was showing as 456dps however when i entered the simulation mode the dps figure dropped to 305? Is the in game tool broken or did i miss something.

We need a lot more info to tell you if something was wrong. Were all your relevant mods (weapons, ballistics, etc.) set to active in simulation mode? Was the right ammunition inside the simulated weapons? Was the simulation mode set to include loading times and normal mode not?

Also, did you file a bug report with some screenshots of your issue added in?
