On my new small POS i have an option under sentry gun defense

Attack if other security status is dropping - does that mean if someone is attacking me ?

Does that applies for missiledefense too ?


Isent it possible to get some more options ???

I am a new to this POS thing so sorry if my Q's are stupid Oops

Pretend that setting doesn't exist. It isn't really useful.

Pretend POS missile batteries don't exist. They are completely useless. Use lasers on an Amarr tower, and projectiles on all the other towers. Don't try to make a Caldari tower into a deathstar, but rather they are superb for EWAR.

Without any settings, the control tower will only attack those that attack it first. The attack settings make the tower attack before it is threatened.

There are only two settings you will probably ever need:
1. Attack if at war. All that is needed in hisec, and should be checked for every other situation as well.
2. Attack if standing less than 0.1 Not available in hisec, but should be used everywhere else.

Optional, and potentially very dangerous to friendlies:
3. Attack if aggression. Shoot anyone with an aggression flag, like neutrals helping war targets in hisec.
Use with extreme caution, and only when necessary.

While reading this, I came up with a question, what happens if you do set something like that third options, Attack if Aggression, and your sentry attacks a neutral, does your sentry get attacked by Concord? Do you?

The guns wont fire if in Highsec on targets that are under concord protection no matter the settings.

Ok, thank you for the answer Linda, I thought to myself, 'Hmm, I wonder if Concord would just all of a sudden warp in on my mining vessel and blast me while I was mining' if a sentry gun blasted someone, lol
