EVE New Citizens Q&A

I been a way from EVE for 3 years and came back to check out the Alphas setup. I played a week and remembered how much I missed EVE and bought a month.

It was fun getting back into my old ships(except my comet and echelon, they just disappeared after I fell offline) But in my time relearning how to refit my ships, I come to realize that a lot of my under skills were very weak. My CPU and Power grid was always so tight that I couldn't get what I wanted installed. And my CAPS always seamed weak.

Looking around at all the skills that I couldn't use as an alpha and I noticed that my skills were only trained to 3.
All of my racial ship command were at 3 except Spaceship Command which is at 5.
Some Gunnery skills still aren't even started yet.
Engineering was horrible and still working on it.

Everything had gaps in it. and since i started training all those behind the scene Skills, I noticed how much difference a few % makes.

Remember kids, train up all ur need skills. If you don't whats the reason of flying a ship if your not flying it very well. And I'm gonna spend some good alpha time to improve myself

I'm just going to sit as an Alpha till I gan catch up some of the skills I have been missing.

I wonder how appropriate is to express approval in matters where I'm undoubtably biased... but guess I can live with that.

But apart from that, I as a new player totally love the part of the restrictions that make me spread out my skills. Makes me well rounded, encouraging me to try aspects of the game I'd normally ignore.

Not to mention that it locked me out of most ships that would have been very painful to lose before figuring out what I am doing and how.

So, thank you CCP for this great system. (I mean great, even beyond the fact that you let us F2P bums in to envigorate the locals)
