... at least no empire's loyalists seem likely to be saying this latest problem isn't anything for them to worry about because it's only happening to somebody else?

A third data point to muddle the trend. SoCT-owned, capsuleer-accessible station (among others), 3 jumps from Delve, and no temperate planets.

An 'unidentified pathogen' gives cause to initiate lockdown of nine decks, now stated as a 'communicable infection'. Biotech lab itself is also an outlier.

So far, the spokesperson's statement seems to bear weight.

Once is interesting. Twice can still be coincidence, but is worrying. Three 'incidents' damn near on a schedule? This is intentional and fairly well executed. The lack of information makes it slightly more disconcerting however, since something that appears to be this well planned could also be just as well masqueraded as something it is not.

Yes, I have a paranoid streak. It has served me well.

I am not personally worried. Absolute worst case scenario, a few systems can be purged with orbital fire and isolated by jumpgate destruction if this really is a contagion. What I am far more interested in is the intent and motive of whoever is behind these events, and more importantly what these events actually are. The lack of information dissemination is going from an annoyance to something worth getting a tad angry about.

So much for funny singing genital warts hilariously out of tune. Guess I should have put my money on bioweapon.

It has been made mentioned that the Amarr Empire would be the next target.

Since we now know that this is now pathogen we more parts to the puzzle.

Now we wait to here from the Federation. I suspect this is an attack on all Empires at once.

With this third outbreak we should not consider anything less.

Sounds like an experiment gone wrong. Zainou and Genolution are the heavy hitters in biotech and augmentation fields, aren't they? Probably were handling a sample that got loose in multiple station, probably as a result of sabotage. I imagine there's some kind of virus infection in their containment protocols that allows these things loose after a certain time period.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

Could originally be something of medical benefit, for example, I don't know, a new type of CRISP-R-based gene therapy viral agent or something (gone wrong gone sexual just a prank bro social experiment) that hasn't gotten its hazards dealt with yet. Who knows for sure other than the ones responsible for the whole mess in the first place?

It's an outside possibility, but these might be separate labs working on the same projects under CONCORD Directive α-γ 12, and making simultaneous, very unfortunate discoveries.

Or sabotage by means of a computer virus that is timed to release the pathogen from their cleanrooms or tubes or containers. Or a sync-ed sabotage effort by multiple infiltrators in multiple places.
