Hey Guys and Girls;

I was hoping i could get some good advice form some experienced WH peeps?

I am looking to get in to WHs again after a while away from them, i have a very basic idea of the politics and active Corps Alliances, but I don't have detailed knowledge by any stretch, especially the politics currently, the "active WH Corps and Alliances" thread in this channel seems to show a lot of inactive or semi inactive Corps/Alliances, which is making it more confusing.

Basically i am looking / hoping for the following:

1) EU TZ
2) Actually fights in WHs (T3/Cap stuff), LS/Null stuff on top of that is fine tho.
3) Competent/ good at what they do and will take a fight.
4) Are good enough to actually be able to hold their own and not just be WH residents that run from everything.
5) able to get 30+ ppl in Fleet for good brawls (WH defence or fights vs other WH entities)
6) Fairly relaxed and chill, but serious when a fight comes their way.

Now i could be very wrong, but currently i can only see 4 Corps / Alliances that on face value might fit that bill, please feel free to correct me or add additional info that i missed, especially if i have missed a very good Corp or Alliance that i could consider?

1) Hard Knocks

Either the largest or one of the largest WH entities?, very strict activity rules?, like to consider themselves "elite"?, very good at what they do?

2) Lazerhawks

Either the largest or one of the largest WH entities?, probably not pound for pound as good as HK?, but still pretty darn good?, a little more relaxed than HK?

3) Hole Control

Fairly decent size?, Do they fight?, are they any good?, are they competent?

4) TDSIN

Fairly decent size?, Do they fight?, are they any good?, are they competent?

6) Inner Hell

Aren't they Russian though?

6) Have i missed any other good Alliances / Corps that fill the criteria?, i would have thought / hoped there were more?, or has WH space thinned out a bit due to the larger / more competent entities centralizing power?

As i said, when i look at the "active WH Corps" thread, so many of them appear terribly inactive when you look in to them.....maybe i am missing something though?

Sorry for the wall of text, my questions are genuine, i just don't want to make a leap in to WH's and miss something super obvious with all the changes over the past 12-24 months, obviously when you speak to each recruiter they will try and sell their Corp or Alliance, which is fine and i expect that.

I just don't want to make the leap and then realize i was sold a pup with an inactive / incompetent Corp that doesn't fight and bears all the time and when fleets are put up ppl just don't join or run away etc etc.

I do have a reasonable level of WH experience and competence (but that was 3+ years ago), and decent pvp experience, just for reference, but obviously out of the loop in the current WH meta.

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the wall o ext.

You has pretty absurdly high expectations of WH corps IMO.
May want to look into a smaller scale group, they tend to be far more interesting and fun in my experience.

I agree that your expectations are not very realistic. They simply don't take into account how pvp corps generally, and w-space corps in particular, actually work.

By expecting the corp to fight with caps, you have automatically excluded all the corps based in low class wormholes. And C2s are the most popular system for pvp corps!

Your expectations regarding typical fleet sizes runs into a wall when you consider actual w-space mechanics. You think 30 guys can cruise around in caps and never have a wormhole close on them? Even battleship fleets can run into difficulties, and tend to be used only for system defense.

Pvp corps of any kind go where the fights are in the ships that generate fights. That typically means fast, light ships that look engageable, and that are good at catching things. Rather than running around in a massive blob, we spread out, only forming fleets when necessary.

Might there be some C4-6 based large corps that do what you want? Possibly, although that level of organisation (managing a 30 man cap fleet, etc) tends to be the opposite of 'chill'. It sounds to me like you are actually looking for a null sec corp that occassionally crashes a wormhole when one is handy.

If you like reading about low sec piracy or wormhole pvp, you might enjoy my blog.

You mean C5-6. we C4 dwellers often live there so that the likes of HK and Null entities cannot drop caps on us Smile And I agree, the OPs requirements for a WH corp are ridiculously high.

1) Corps of Note with an EUtz presence
Hard Knocks
No Vacancies
TSDIN (lesser)
Hole Control Alliance (Art of Explosions - EU, Beyond the Last Horizon - RU/Early EU, Vision Inc EU)
Magister Mortalis
Hotline K162
Eyes.FR
Gambrini
Quantum Singularities (I know them more to be US/AU, but they seem to have a bunch of mid/late EUtz kills recently)
La Division Bleue
Partisan Squadron
Upholders (alliance)

2) Any wormhole PVP corp fights in wormholes. Though caps tend to be reserved for the biggest of the big, because mid-sized corps can't compete against a fleet of that size

3) Plenty of wormhole corps also fit this. From groups as large as HK to smaller groups like Magister Mortalis, and Dark Skies Dojo

4) Check killboards. If a corp holds its own in WH space, it should have a minimum 70% KB ratio. Below that it's kind of iffy, getting much higher than that, they're either incredibly risk averse, or good.

5) Realistically, corps with 120 or so characters in their organization SHOULD be able to do this. As a CEO of a 75 character corp, I can manage to get close to that number when needed.

6) Most wormhole corps fit into this.

Your standards are very off, especially cap fights (which are MUCH less common than they used to be)

Good luck at finding an organization that suits you
