Yes. Why wouldn't it? Especially after your corp joins the militia itself? Under what circumstance are you wanting to go after people on your own side of the warzone and potentially cost your faction resources?

This is a bit tricky.

You will incur a standings penalty against any NPC corp that a player is a part of (not just Faction Warfare)... which, by extension, also affects your standings with the NPC faction (but to a lesser degree).

If you attack someone in a player corporation...

- if they are not part of any FW militia, no standings penalty
- if they are a part of a FW militia, then yes... you will suffer a standings penalty similar to what you would get if you attacked a player in an NPC corp.

Now...

if you attack a fellow militia member (someone in your factions military) you will suffer a HUGE standings hit.
If you kill a fellow militia member, you will take another standings hit.
And if you pod a fellow militia member, you will take yet another standings hit.

If your standings go low enough, you can get kicked out of the militia. And if the corporation standings go low enough, the corporation will be kicked out.

Fun Fact: Trying to warp out of a fellow militia member's warp disruption bubbles will cause the person who put up the bubble to suffer a standings hit (as preventing people from warping is considered a form of aggression).

So given all this information, consider this; if a fellow militia member shoots at you, really question what it is you have done to **** them off.

There are many conflicting opinions on this subject even among veteran Militia players. Even in this thread, my opinion differs considerably from ShahFluffers who I respect enormously. But in my time in FW (about 3 years), my observations are the following:

1. Aggressing or killing players in other Militia PLAYER corps has no effect on your standings.
2. Aggressing players in the NPC FW corp (Tribal Liberation Force, 24th Imperial Crusade etc.) results in a negative standings hit with that corp. Aggressing a pod in those corps has a much bigger negative standings hit with that corp. Killing the ship or pod has no additional hit (over just aggressing). There is no direct effect on the faction standing, but there is an indirect one if you have a rank with the militia. The rank is actually based on standing with the NPC FW corp and if you get demoted you will lose a small faction standing too. This latter is only my opinion, it looks to me that there is effectively a hard cap on how much can be removed, limited to the amount gained when you were promoted in the first place. Thus, if you haven't got any rank, you can't lose anything. The main effect with AWOXing militia pilots in the FW NPC corps is that you lose access to higher level missions with those corps, which (@ Level 4) is the most profitable PvE activity in FW.
3. You get a Faction hit if you kill the NPC ships in FW plexes (particularly offense plexes where you have to kill them to complete them) and missions (be it FW missions or regular missions), but in these cases we are talking the opposing faction.
4. It is your Faction standing that is tested when determining whether you can join or stay in the Militia. As long as it stays zero or above you can happily AWOX to your hearts contents.
5. A player will be booted from the NPC FW corp if his personal standing to the Faction drops below 0. In a player corp though it is the average standing of all players that have been in the corp more than 5 days. This will get the whole corp booted from the militia if it falls below 0, although one remedy is for the CEO to kick the people who are dragging them down.

My most rememberable experience of these mechanics occurred in a defensive plex I was running once while in the Minmatar Militia. A new player in the TLF corp came into the plex. Initially I ignored him, same side, very young player. Next he aggressed on me, I realised straight away that he hadn't sorted out his overview and had 'Terrible Security Status' showing over 'Same Militia'. Thus he saw me as a flashy red pirate not a fellow militia. I tried to convo him, he rejected it, I tried to talk to him in local, he didn't notice. So I killed him. Then I scrammed his pod and made him accept a convo from me from which I explained how to unf*ck his overview and linked him a post explaining how to do it. Then I let him go. Only then did I noticed two mails. The first telling I'd taking a standing hit for shooting his ship (even though he had aggressed me first). Then a second massive hit for scramming his pod. In total I went from +9.9 standing with TLF to -1.9 (after Diplomacy IV raised it from -3.5 or something), with 80% of the hit just for scramming the pod. I also dropped something like 4 militia ranks which I believe had an effect on my Minmatar standing, trouble is I don't know what I started with, but after I was still on +2.2, so it couldn't have been that bad.

Later on when in the Gallente Militia I paid more attention to my Faction standing and noted that the Caldari one never budged even though I was shooting Caldari pilots regularly. At the same time though I was rarely running offensive plexs and never any FW missions. Something that I'd done a lot of in the Minmatar Militia and my Amarr standing was sitting at -9.7 (before diplomacy) when I finished.
