I really like that EvE's backstory and structure don't include the standard anthropomorphic scifi-game "aliens"...the vast majority of which are often just reskinned humans anyway.

Eve only has several versions of human.
I want to see some aliens. What could I change my race to.
Sasquatch
Reptilian
The Greys

What aliens would you like to be in EVE?

No sentient aliens TYVM. However, if you really want to change appearance, there are body-mod sepcialists in Gallente space.

(Now radical body-mods are in EVE Lore though whether they extend to such extent as furries or scalies I know not (and even as an Intaki artist, am not particularly interested in discovering))

An average human being wakes up, looks out the window and sees an unidentified structure floating in the sky.

If you want to roleplay, it's not too difficult to dream up how aliens integrate.

For example, if humans are widespread and able to achieve all the miracles of constant pod replacement, then it's not impossible that an alien race floated by and created their own human shaped pod people, and sent them to live in EVE.

Kinda like they did in the real world.

All we need to do is build a wall and they'll start showing up...

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

This is Eve Online. The average humans in this setting do not look out of the window and see a UFO and not already know what it was they are looking at. They will already see the UFO already in the Galnet (Galactic Internet), on the news networks, on forums, etc. Considering how big New Eden is, majority of the average humans will not only have seen the UFO online or in the news, chances are, the details of it will have been discussed to death online by news media and amongst each other.

By the time the UFO lands right outside their window, the average human would have already known what to call the aliens, what kind of tech they are using, what their apparent agenda is and whether they should or shouldn't panic. Heck, by the time the average human has a UFO land outside his window, the capsuleers (us) might have already either communicated or shot at the UFO so often (with the gist of every encounter being all over the Galnet) they ceased to be UFOs but just another spaceship with a different race of pilots.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

Except the Seekers are Sleeper Drones and Sleepers and Jovians are both heavily modified humans (post-humans in their case considering how they have transcended many of the limits of humanity). Makes them fall squarely under 'Alien Culture' as in 'Foreign Culture'.

'Distasteful'. Far as we know, the only groups considered 'Distasteful' are the Drifters (another subset of Sleepers) because they blew up the Empress Jamyl Sarum that one time and killed quite a large number of people. Even got into a protracted fight with the Amarr Empire that one time. So far, the Drifters still haven't yet opened any diplomatic channels and had decided to keep talking to us with laser cannons. Jovians aren't really distasteful. Heck, the pod is Jovian tech given to us by the Joves (first to the Caldari), and the Joves helped created CONCORD and gave them the tech needed to CONCORDOKKEN us.

As for 'extraterrestrial', frankly, ALL HUMANS in this game are extraterrestrial. Nobody is native to New Eden.

So which one is which?

Also what part of unidentified structure do you not understand?

Out of new eden.
Unfamiliar
Unknown

= ALIENS

What else is there you want to pathetically excuse?

JOVE are aliens, their space is unknown, they are much further advanced than any person in new eden.. and uknown.. ALIENS

THATS THE DEFINITION OF ALIENS!!!

Jove, sleeper and seekers ARE ALIENS/WOULD BE CALLED ALIENS IRL, .. if you want to exclude drones claiming they were created by humans and living in new eden.

Except everyone in k-space (as far as story goes) already knew where the Joves are from (that part of New Eden whose stargate networks were shut down by the Joves themselves. They even have a name for their region), and they already knew genetically, they are all humans, albeit heavily modified.

Same thing with Sleepers, according to the book Templar One, where they cut open a Sleeper pod and realised that the Sleepers are humans, also heavily modified, were descended from the Joves and have their entire population living out in a virtual reality simulation. Again, heavily modified humans. The Sleepers the Capsuleers battled in W-space, as it turns out, were just their drones.

Then the Drifters, also Sleepers, came out of their VR simulated environments (aka woke up) and mobilised against the non-Jovian humans of New Eden as a response to the genocide being committed against their race due to the rest of us harvesting Sleeper bodies for their implants (used to create the Dust 514 mercs) on an industrial scale.

So again, no aliens.

Seriously, why are you so hell bent on getting aliens into the setting when it's clear from the get go that everything foreign encountered in this game are either post-humans, are humans of another culture or are created by humans? The only 'Alien' this game will ever have are 'foreigners' (which makes EVERYONE, US PLAYERS INCLUDED, the Alien) rather than flying saucer tiny imp creatures who probe people's rectum for some reason.

Eve isn't Star Trek Online.

EDIT: You can read about it, sleepers are jovians in a virtual reality matrix sort of thing, and jovians have some basic ties with some of the earliest human races in new Eden, with equally advanced technology as the people who would become the gallente, so they weren't the only ancient super race to be doing crazy things. They were the most isolationist and did weird things like maybe create their own disease to wipe out huge chunks of its own population.

But they ain't aliens, sorry kids. I don't want that kind of science fiction in EVE, it doesn't feel like the place for it.

Yes the sleepers are the aliens.

I guess what i'm saying is , I'd prefer to have some of that alien lore in the game.
The sleepers seem pretty dangerous. In all the plethora of life in the universe I would like to vouch for Sasquatch or anyone who would want to play a Sasquatch character. I think Sasquatch should join the minmatar faction. The Reptilians should be with the Gallente. The Greys should be with Amarr. Caldari should have the Avian people.

Oh my.

Perhaps you might be happier playing a different game that includes similar things?

Haha, that would be awesome. +1 from me. Although if they actually added a pet cage to your quarters where you could keep and feed your Fedo that would also be fantastic.

Unfortunately, Fedo have only the barest minimum in self-awareness and they stink up the place something awful. The Minmatar keep them in their ships not because they love them, they just happen to be the most cost-effective way to remove waste and garbage inside and outside the ship. They have to put up with the Fedofart though.
