I had this wild Idea.

What if we could contract up jump clones for transportation services?

I'm not gona jump into conclusions. I just think it would be FUN. Having bunch of clones in your cargohold and if you get blown up there would be biomass everywhere :D

Maybe even a new fitting stuff to reprocess biomass? :D

Hope one of you CCP dudes read this! :)

Have a nice day!

If your clones could be destroyed you're not very immortal, or are you thinking like the short-distance battle barges full of clones from DUST 514?

Being able to have a clone transported via courier into low/null sounds interesting.

Not sure how it works in DUST 514 (wish I would played that game)

What I mean is that you could contract up your JUMP CLONES what have full set of implants on they head. So if they are in dangerous zones you could task someone who specialized in transporting to grab them for you and deliver it to a station where you could instal them.

Jump clones are transportable on ships equipped with clone bays.

Jump clones located on these ships that are destroyed, are destroyed.

Yeah that's a way for it, but it would be cool to have some specialized ship for only jump clone transporting what would be more agile and not a capital.

Or simply make it possible for some ships which aren't capital.

Is it just for transport, or can the jump clones deploy off the ship?

If the former, it would be very niche in general, and Im concerned it would reduce the impetus for destroying structures/ships with clone bays, as this special ship would be able to ferry them off it before destruction of the clones with associated valuable implants.

If its the latter, that is a whole new can of worms, turning a sub-capital into a spontaneous staging ship.

Both are intriguing, but potentially quite dangerous for balance.

Yep. Well... I was thinking in only transporting them but not be able to jump into them to the ship what transport them.

Let's see.
Citadel is in danger.
Currently: everyone needs to log in, JC there and move away.
With new ship: everyone needs to log in and make a contract for moving JC away.

This way new ship won't make big difference. Just not make it so citadel owner can simple pack clones and move. Keep JC management in hands of pilot itself.

You can always haul corpses, passengers, slaves, exotic dancers, etc.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Yeah

Logisticly it would require less person, and meanwhile the other persons could attend different tasks.
But anyways, don't think only in Citadels.

I think it's a cool idea Smile

I don't actually own any jump clones at the moment but have they changed it so you can have multiple clones at the same station?

"Due to a limitation of the game mechanics, you cannot have two inactive jump clones at the same station. The game will warn you if you try to clone jump away from a station which already has an inactive jump clone, but if you ignore its warnings, then one of your jump clones (including any implants installed in it) will be destroyed. Note that this does not apply to medical clones - it's perfectly safe to have a medical clone and an inactive jump clone in the same station. Also you can jump from your active clone in a station or citadel to an inactive clone in the same station or citadel. "

Best I got. Might be outdated.
