B-b-but those are pirate sets. For me it is crystal clear what slaves are doing..

Halos make your ship glow, snakes makes them move in weird, wave like patterns, crystals make your ship transparent and slaves enslave other players, etc.

Really, as much as I like the lore-names, let's not pretend a new player could easily learn how they work just by looking at them. How would a new player get that Virtue-implants have something to do with scanning, for example?

Is it really all that likely that a new player is dropping a few hundred mil (or a few bil for high grades) on a pirate implant set in the first place? Without bothering to show info on any of them, or even scroll through the market windows? Or, y'know, ask someone?

I believe that's called economic stimulus.

Also an important and expensive lesson for anyone with all that money and all that lack of reading... Roll

Are you saying a high-grade snake set is not so good in a moros?

how does a new player know a moa uses rails? that a condor is missiles and shields? that a omen is quick but still tanks like a boss?

There's this large new symbol on the left side of your screen. If you click on it, it shows every major ship in EVE. Complete with pictures and everything. That's obviously different from having to search through the market to read the description of something one by one.

All the implants are in one place on the market. Show info on one and you can quickly figure out what everything within that set does. Just check one of each name. There aren't that many sets. How much of a spoilt brat do you have to be to refuse to show info on maybe 10 items.

Should we apply your logic to everything? Rename Minmatar to 'the speedy guys with pea shooters, missiles, drones some armour some shield, some neither' and Gallente to 'frenchy in yo' face brawlers and has drones folks'.

There's just no way a person can know this?..

There's a second part to this relating to the percentage being at the end, so in my market UI I see:

Inherent Implants 'Squire' Capacitor Management EM-....
Inherent Implants 'Squire' Capacitor Management EM-....
Inherent Implants 'Squire' Capacitor Management EM-....
Inherent Implants 'Squire' Capacitor Management EM-....
Inherent Implants 'Squire' Capacitor Management EM-....
Inherent Implants 'Squire' Capacitor Management EM-....

I know I can resize it, but it's totally avoidable.

Wut? Let me help you:

Inherent Implants 'Squire' Capacitor Management EM-....

Implants 'Squire' Capacitor Management EM-....

'Squire' Capacitor Management EM-....

'Squire' Capacitor Management

'Squire' Capacitor

Does that help? Roll

Then they're idiots and deserve what they get. Sorry, but the mollycoddling has to stop somewhere.

I know it's awesome. I think it's great how it tells people how to best fit each ship, and which ships are completely useless right now because of the proliferation of other ships. That's totally great for new players.

Your logic: noobs are so dumb they take names literally and are incapable of pressing show info.

What about the word 'minmatar' explains to new players the design philosophy of minmatar ships? Nothing. They look it up.

You're trying to make out as though looking up the implants in the market is difficult or time consuming. It's not.
