How to counter a succubus?

What's a good frigate or destroyer to counter a succubus? I was using a vigil fleet issue on one but holy smokes that succubus does a lot of damage! I had a burn away and disengage. I was thinking that maybe a strong neuting ship would work well on shutting down both it's afterburner and DPS.

I have found the daredevil works wonders the Web bonus is great to counter their ab bonus

That's a good thought, but unless those are bonused neuts, it's unlikely to do you much good. A Succubus actually uses very little cap unless it's using a (non-ancillary) shield booster. And they have an extra high slot for a nos. So capping them out will actually take a while - possibly longer than you have.

The other issue you have is that even if you can out tank/dps them, they are probably faster than you within scram range, so they can simply disengage from a losing fight. This means that you either have to counter them with double/bonused webs (such as the Daredevil suggested previously), or fight them outside of scram range. So maybe a Garmur?

Or simply play a similar game with a 10mn Confessor.

Any frig with decent ab speed and web. Daredevil , Cruor , Ishkur, worm. if you are looking for an easy burn in and win, not going to happen.

just FYI: Afterburners are actually surprisingly hard to neut out. With decent navigation skills and a nice AB (which you tend to find on Sansha ships) they require very little cap to keep running.

Its a 1v1, just preexisting damage from someone in the same system (as you can see by the ?mark).
