here is my explanation in the format you were looking for:
Titans got nerfed, which was good. But now they are over-nerfed and kind useless, they are basically a glorified dread.
More flexibility = more people will use them in combat = more of them will be used and die.

For example, supercarriers were nerfed, but nowhere near as bad. They can still be used to kill subcaps as well as supercaps without any refitting.

Also I am not proposing 12 guns, I am proposing 12 slots. Only 6 can be activated at a time.

That's still a weak and unsupported explanation. For a start it relies on the idea that Titans have been over nerfed, and a quick sniff test of zKillboard stats says that's not the case. We've consistently seen more ships killed by Titans month of month in the last year than in any period in Eve's history, and deaths are holding fairly steady.

Your suggestion is still a massive buff to Titans by giving them amazing flexibility and removing any consideration on weapons fittings the the pilot might otherwise have to make, which runs counter to CCP's stated goal with ship fittings as linked earlier.

Overall you're argument here is still pretty poor and relies on assumptions (remember Occam's Razor?) rather than any hard evidence to support it.

Umm what you taking about.
The major titan nerf Dominion was introduced at the end of 2009
Since then there has been about twice the amount of ISK destroyed by Super carrier compares to Titans

Titan - https://zkillboard.com/group/30/

"hey, CCP, this thing that you fixed because it was bad... break it plz! lulz!"

Yeah, no.

You still haven't said why titans are in a bad place right now, or provided any data to support it, or authoritative quotes that take the position. The fact that the rate of adoption with titans is still increasing suggests that they might even be too good and in need of more nerfs. I'd even bet I could find a not-too-old dev quote saying that they are happy with where supers are.

You didn't suggest a solution to a problem. You suggested creating a new problem to something that's working fine. At least it's working fine until you can provide a big ol' pile of [citation needed].

Maxim 6. If violence wasn’t your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it.

The Dominion Titan nerf was 100% justified and ages ago. If that's what you're hoping to get back to then you're blowing smoke up your own anatomy. CCP have explicitly stated that the old grid-wide DD was a mistake based on the faulty assumption that very few if any Titans would ever be built in the game. Then one Alliance had *four* and suddenly that fun kinda OP thing was breaking the game.

Also your comparison is erroneous, Super Carriers are about an order of magnitude less rare (and less than half as expensive or hard to build) as a Titan so of course there are more of them which means they kill more stuff. The ratio of kills to deaths is about the same though, so for their ISK value they're killing and dying about the same amount these days.
