Placing a citadel near to a POS

Greetings.

Our corp livin in WH. Im thinking that placing a citadel near a POS is good idea, cus it will make easier to defend both that way(it's a debatable statement, but still)

I know that citadel has one placement restriction - "Citadels can be deployed anywhere in the system as long as it is 1000km from another structure and 1000km from a celestial."

But thing is we got to place citadel first and a POS second(dont ask why), and we wanna place em as close as possible. So my question is:

Is there any possibility we screw up citadel placing near a moon so we won't be able to place our POS later on?

Citadels aren't that happy being positioned near moons. It can be done but they seem to have a limited envelope of allowable anchoring space (like a POS, really) around moons.

I'd *highly* recommend you try out your positioning strategy on singularity before attempting on tq.

They will need to be separated by at least 1000 km. As recommended above - always test on singularity.

Well given that a POS has to be 100K from a moon and a Citadel has to be 1000km, Even if you could get around the 1000k limit between structures at best you would be ~900k.
