Hey,

Any tips for taking out upgraded avengers (the new capital escalations) in carriers? Seems I'm having some...issues...

Any advice would be appreciated. They chew my fighters up something fierce

There's almost zero reason to use a carrier to run C5 sites solo due to the avengers. You want a dread and a carrier, at the very least, and you might as well just bring two dreads at that point.

Unless you've a dread you'll spend hours killing them.

Not only are upgraded avengers actually living hell to kill with carrier dps, you will more than likely lose more fighters in the site in isk than you would make. Sleepers LOVE to aggro fighters.

I'm sorry, but that's a needlessly snarky response by anybody to a question asked in good faith - much less by a CSM candidate. I'm glad I held off on my voting.

Warping in carriers and FAX to a C5/C6 site is a legitimate waste of time. The amount of time it takes for carriers to grind through them for the amount of ISK they drop isn't worth it. I would recommend only ever using dreads (2-infinite is recommended for best results.)

If you can't use dreads I would suggest you use rattlesnakes or nestors to clear the site, and spawning the drifter and clearing that with an astrahus.

Solo carrier is technically still possible, but the amount of time it takes is ludicrous, even worse than a solo dread in site now.
