Planning a trip to Iceland any recommendations ?

The Mrs and I are currently planning a trip to Iceland later this year (October time). Was wondering if any of you that have already been (or any of you that actually live there) have any recommendations about places to see / stay ?

Never been to Iceland, but it's on my bucket list to see the Eve online monument located outside CCP HQ. If you don't know what it is, it is a monument put up in 2014 that has the laser engraved names of all active pilots at that time. (The most active one of the three on each account anyway. )
