Thanatos ratting fit

Hello! can someone share some good guristar ratting fits for tahanatos?

If you're ratting in a thanatos and have to ask for a fit - you've skipped some vital steps in your career. So, to better help you, where will you be ratting? WH space, Null?? If null - where, as the rats do different things in different parts of space.

WH and null fits are way different.


You're kind of asking which car is best and we don't know if you want to off road, get to church and back or if you're looking at a 2 hour commute to work.

You didn't read his OP he stated gurista rats, so he is most likely based in the north of null sec space...

I didn't connect guristar to gurista. I'll still probably never like him.


Shield Thanny - you'll be all set. You'll have your aeon in no time. If the system is fully upgraded - I recommend dual boxing and running 2 anoms at the same time on different monitors. Profits go way up. Triple boxing ratting carriers (for me at least) seems like more work than play, so I'd limit myself to dual boxing.

Seriously, if you're ratting in a carrier and you have to ask in an open forum how to do it, expect to lose it right quick.

I've just recently came back to eve after a extended break...

Is this what skill injectors have done to the game? By the time you hit Capital class ships you should have an idea of how to fly / fit one...

How the heck did that die with only 30k damage? Am I missing something?

meh maybe his move wasnt the smartest but you act like he is about to rat in a titan.

opening dotlan and finding where people rat in carriers with 90% accuracy takes like 10 minutes.
If people dont get cought ratting it's not because it's a secret, but because they avoid it.

Delve has more rorq's then ishtars. And people brag about ratting in supers like everywhere so ? it's not instand death.
Give the guy a break he will learn.

It looks like the interceptors simply "pinned" the Thanatos down and let the NPC kill the carrier.

It is not surprising since the ship is buffer tanked and has little to no ability to repair damage.

Well, you'd think a good buffer fit (not saying THAT was a good buffer fit, just saying as a theory) would give him time to summon help from alliance...unless he was ratting too far away, wasn't on comms, or they just didn't like him anyway. I am not a capitol pilot myself but I thought that was the proper way to rat in a capital - have lots of friends nearby and carry a cyno. Or, something like that.

Let's discuss overhauling the way we get intel in EvE.

Fun fact: there are some pre-Drifter NPCs that have the ability to nuke players.

I think the NPC that killed that Thanny is one of them.
30,000 Omni damage volley every 20 seconds (or something like that)


And yes... the Thanny should have been in a fleet and should have had a cyno fitted.

But if I am right about the NPC... it would not have had time for any support to arrive.

One of the old CONCORD "Find the secret agent in space and only run it once per character" missions had a capital torpedo tower that would nuke a BS-sized target pretty hard with EM damage in a room full of Kin/Therm rats. I remember fitting a Rokh specifically to tank that beast while my friends killed everything.

cap stable at 27% without the armor rep, which really only needs to be pulsed occasionally. maxed skills it is 859k EHP tanked against Guristas. the Exile is only used if you get tackled by more than a couple of guys. the plate gives you a little more buffer to survive till help arrives, and the armor rep/cap booster will hold your reps for a long time. it will also solo tank a Guristas Dread spawn with ease
