I wish I would have trained Amarr at the time.

If I am not mistaken the Navy Armageddon is supposed to be that ship but I hear you. And a trollgorn costs half of what a Navy Armageddon costs.

I still won't mind a symmetric toothbr- errm Osprey Big smile

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

I´m pretty sure you still can fit Mining Laser on the Osprey. So why does CCP needs to change something here ?

'Cos during the cruiser tiericide CCP changed two of the high slots from turrets to utility, so the ship will now accept only one mining laser.

On second thoughts, that isn't quite right. As the ship still has three external hardpoints it's probably more accurate to say simply that they reduced the turret fitting options from three to one.

He should have wonked the apoc than no on used pre tieracide and still isn't used post tieracide. The ONLY improvement that the geddon needed was to move the turret hardpoints up onto the bulbous fronty part so that the fire and death spewed out of it in a more anatomically correct fashion. Ah well. Such is the way of things.

If they aren't going to restore the historically loved and heavily used geddon to it's former glory - there is little hope for the osprey. We have been fozzinated(1) and our only recourse is to accept and move on.

The Osprey was beloved?

The Osprey was beloved?

No the geddon was.

I'm not highjacking the thread, but I was tilting it away from the osprey and toward the beloved geddon as bestest I could. I'm mean the Osprey is pretty cool.... It starts with a giant 'O' and let's be honest, who doesn't like a giant 'O' from time to time? I think on a more basic level this thread is about the teiracide atrocities that we have endured. It's a thread where we can all come together and express our hopes and our fears and remember on our own terms, but yet with our comrades the beauty and glory that the mighty geddon brought with it as it landed on grid. A place where we can also consider the giant 'O' and what that really means to us not only as epic space heros but also as husbands, wives, butchers, bakers and yes even as candlestick makers. That is the true point of this discussion.

Not a fan of the tiericide.
Navitas will always be a mining frigate and exequror is to cool looking to only be a useless logi ship with no solo application.
Make the thorax the logi and exeq will be the new blaster boat.

Nah armageddon is only of the ugliest amarr ships. Apocalypse is easily top 3 best looking ships in game after its reskin. It was still cool before and much cooler than any geddon but now it's apex coolness. Geddon needs an entirely new design. Bhaalgorn can keep the old Armageddon skin. Harbinger and prophecy too.

...Why?

Nostalgia value.

I propose Osprey, Scythe, Exequeror, Augror ORE issue faction ships. Cruiser hulls with small ore bays, a mining laser bonus and one racially appropriate defensive bonus.
