Eve's sound system, even today is very resource intensive. To the point that, in large scale fleet environments featuring TiDi or if multitasking other applications / games outside of Eve... Fully turning off / disabling eve's sound completely can really reduce the load on one's cpu / integrated sound system even on wonderful modern PC's.

With this in mind a question arises - Can using a dedicated sound card for eve sound processing (if possible) relieve the stress eve's sound system creates on more traditional integrated sound systems?

Put another way, - can i tell eve to explicitly use sound card [ABC in PCIe slot 2] as the sound processor that'll handle all of Eve's sound? Or does eve only rely on code that must be processed by a CPU & subsequently sent to an integrated sound chips/systems or yes, PCIe card that just replays audio that's already been processed by the cpu?

Anyone here have any ideas/experience with discreet sound cards & Eve?
