So I'm a miner in a procurer, kind of stuck with drones. I have great drone skills but I can't seem to get these guys. Not sure how to kill them off so I can continue mining usually I kill off all their buddies then leave. It's not a big deal during the day when I can get help but during the night it's pretty quite and I'm getting tired of having to move around so much. What can I do?

Admiral Rats? As in "Core Admiral"? Can I assume that you are mining in Low- or Nullsec then? In that case, I would say take a combat ship, clear the belt, mine until they respawn, rinse, repeat. Or mine in a group.

Since you are in Spaceship Samurai I will guess that you are mining in Fade. The Core Admiral Serpentis rats are too powerful for you to kill off with just your Procurer's drones. If you are mining with others - as would be wise for the boosts and company - then several Procurers all acting at once might be able to slowly take one down.

You could probably tank them for a while, but if you can't get someone to help you out with a 'rrr'call (which is surprising, since that area is usually pretty populated at all times) you will have to follow Neuntausend's advice and reship into a combat vessel.

Humanity has won its battle. Liberty now has a country.

From that link you can see it has about a 71% chance to repair for 590 HP every 10 seconds so that will average about 41.889998734 or just round up to 42 HPs per second. You can look at their resist profile and compare it to the damage type that you are doing but using hyprids they will resist almost exactly half of your damage

So say you are using kinetic drones they resist 46% so you will need about 92 kinetic DPS just to break their armor tank. Passive regen of the shield will figure into this to some degree but not much. With a little math you can see they have 16,750 HPs. So you have enough information in the above link to figure out pretty much exactly how long it will take you to kill one of them if you have available the info of what you and / or fleet are putting out.

I did the above just as an example of how you can figure stuff out on your own.

Over the years Eve has been referred to as spreadsheets in space. It does not have to be but there are some of us in this game that seem to like crunching numbers. I'm probably helping to propagate that stereotype in this post but I'm also giving you tools.

Have fun and fly dangerous.
