If you buy a month or two and use the time to train up skills, you can easily get good enough at what you want to do to be able to supplement your wallet with PLEXes.

So he can then grind ISK all day to get a PLEX to get another month of grinding ISK? Most people expect entertainment and fun from a game.

There are a ton of ways to make isk. If you are finding it a grind to get a bil a month then you need to get better at what you are doing. Because it really isn't hard nor does it take that much time. Hell most months I end up making half a bil to a bil without even thinking about it.

Hell I can make 100-200m in a casual 4 hours just fooling around in HS.

It's only a grind if you are not having fun. Pvp is a lot of fun yes, but it's pretty much the only activity that is generally isk negative. (And even then you can still make money doing it)

Now I am not going to deny that by far the best isk/hr comes from a real world job (1-2 hours even at minimum wage will get you a plex) but the only reason that works is because there are people in game who actually enjoy money making activities and would rather buy plex with isk than cash. If everyone switched over to cash only (paying for a sub and getting isk through buying plex with cash) the market would crash practically overnight.

So rather than disparage their play style you should encourage it. Because it is them playing their way that allows you to continue playing in yours.
