**True Story
So I became extremely bored in Jita today and decided to take part in one of those, "I will triple your isk " scams.

My theory was that I would risk 1 isk just for the hell of it; I got 3 back.
then I risked 10,000; got 30,000
100,000; got 300,000.
Anyway, at this point I decided to progressively increase the donation, but never exceed the tripled sum returned. my last tripled donation was 12mil, which returned 36mil to my account. out of this pot, I donated 20mil at which point the tripling stopped.

I came out with a small, but real, net gain of about 18 million in my account from this scammer and I'm not a very bright person and this is F-ing with my small and feeble cerebrum. I have went over and over it in my head and have decided that I scammed a scammer. This post is simply to inform the EVE community of how great this personal achievement was for me and how awesomesaucesome I am. I deserve a cookie and some Quaffe. Please troll, i'm bored. For every reply you post, I will triple the replies."

I tripple your ISK is not really a scam. It is a game. And this time you won.

You can do this type of thing legitimately as well with speculative buying, buy low/sell high, it works in just about anything even when you're trying to scam a scammer you just have to make sure you don't end up paying more than them, the great thing about EVE of course is you have a fairly real economy so it can happen even here. I've bought and sould ore/minerals on the market before and made a pretty nice profit.

It's a fairly old way of making money that's been going on for years ;)

Hello, I've been in EVE less than 1 month and have made 100m off ISK doublers.

Well, I had a post, but lost it because the forums suck. Anyway, here's an attempt to rewrite what I had:

-ISK doublers always have a point where they cut and run. You want to get your money in and out before someone gives them the ISK that brings them to that point.

-For many doublers, that point is likely around 50-100m ISK

-for some, it's very high, but (in the vast, vast majority of cases) it's there somewhere. I know one poor guy who lost 400m ISK he put into a doubler. He had gotten that 400m ISK from the doubler in the first place.

-You should always "play along". Be sure to say in local "{scammer} 2m sent" and "{Scammer} 4m recieved". There are two reasons for this. One, you make it clear to him that he has to pay you if he wants to continue double-scamming. Two, you help legitimize his scam, you are providing a real service to the scammer.

-Avoid scammers with complex payout schemes ("doubling ISK, Tripling any ISK over 50m, quadrupling any isk over 100m") as they're less likely to be real and are more likely just AFK-spamming in hopes of some idiot starting with 50 or 100m.

-Avoid scammers who seem too popular. They are likely to be late in their scam, and at any moment some idiot could come along and end the scam by sending enough ISK for the doubler to cut and run.

itt a triple back scammer tries to convince noobs that it "actually works" with false testimony.

You get a like for the hard work.

So... do you think you are 'beating' the scammers? Or do you think maybe you are making their exploits worthwhile?

Who is really coming out ahead here?

tossing 'illegal' or stolen ISK between accounts for no good reason can get you in trouble.

I would not exchange ISK with first person I meet

This post sums up why the 'best' work with DCM inc.
