I was considering purchasing an orca for a smallish ice mining fleet . with all the new changes there isn't a lot of current information out there that i've been able to find.

Anyone have some ideas for an ice mining command fit for high sec?

I'm looking for ideas on burst modules and appropriate charges.

any links discussing the new changes would also be welcome.

Seriously though, the ice bonuses you get off Orca command bursts are the exact same ones you use for regular ore mining. Nothing different about it.

ok heres something somewhat practical.
itl work solo or with a fleet ,
not so good solo in an icefield, oyu will want a barge or two with you there but great as a "shortcut" to those null ores you find in sites and will hoover up ore in a belt

the Equipment Preservation Charge is useless for ice miners though, you would be better off with shield boosts there.

If you have the shield boosting skills dont forget that you can get some decent shield boosts as well by adding a shield burst module with the new implant. Though that implant will set you back a bit even now.

Depending on how squishy you like your orca, most of its tank is in the bulkheads and structure tanking, you might consider drone nav for faster drones or, though I havent checked if this does work, drone tracking computers for more range to get to mining faster.

Other than that you can fit tractor beams or remote shield reps in the spare highs too.

Has EHP, has mining links, has mining drones. Cloak is optional but can be handy at times even in high sec when going afk in a stationless system, can be replaced with a second tractor beam. MWD helps with warping (10 second align time).
