First off, is Amamake still the major system for pirates and the like? I'm tempted to make the trek over there just to see what terrible circumstance I can put myself in.

Also, are FW plexes the main place where PvP takes place or are roams just as beneficial? I'm going solo as well, at least for now.

I made my first roam around Bei low-sec space last night and found the best thing so far is jumping planet to planet and screwing with other people once they start trying to gank someone else. Still haven't gotten a kill yet as I couldn't tie down the only ship I had the chance of engaging.

Any other advice for a pilot flying T1 frigs with nothing to lose except for the 20m isk I saved up for these excursions?

frigs are good ships to use for beginning pvp. Head to high traffic low sec areas and attack anything that moves. If you die, think of why you died and try not to do that part again.

Black Rise and the surrounding regions are usually very active. Dotlan - Black Rise

Head to Black Rise and sit in any novice plex. You'll get fights.

Feel free to PM me in game for help with fits etc.
