Thank you, much appreciated.
So does it mean ccp will never put rainbows in space around the planets??

Not necessarily... keep in mind it's a game. They've taken "liberties" with physics already, there's no reason that if they wanted to they could do so and write it off to some unknown phenomena that scientists are studying.

Exactly. Eve's physics are modeled after Submarine warfare much more than space warfare. The Nebulae we see in the backgrounds would be far too big and far away to see with the naked eye (the famous Pillars of Creation from the Hubble photo are some 4 light years tall(also were destroyed 6000 years ago, but we won't see that for another thousand years)).
Mind you, I'll take a pretty game over a realistic game any day. Space doesn't really have all that much to look at in terms of cool nebulae unless you have a powerful telescope. And a fairly uniform star-scape would be pretty boring to fly through.

If you want rainbows to be visible on planets from space, suggest it. It might be a cool little thing for the PI guys while they're clickfesting.

Line up a ton of amarr beam lasers with all the different coloured crystals and have them shoot at something.

Water is irrelevant. You will be assimi... errr. Any cloud of particles that has a prism effect on visible light, refracting in a direction that reaches an observer, will form a rainbow. Obviously, water droplets in Earth's atmosphere qualify. In all the universe, I'm sure they are not the only one.

This seems very interesting.

I dont want that, I want something with more realism like a real giant rainbow on a planet and if possible with a unicorn flying around.

Theoretically yes, if you happen upon a cloud of fine aligned ice particles that might do the trick .. but chances are it would just act as a mirror and reflect everything back in your face.

In short: NO RAINBOW FOR YOU!

PS: Try feeding your unicorn laxatives and eject it in space.
