So yours truly, caught a ban hammer in "help" channel for Language abuse. from ISD Arooga.....

to start with I will acknowledge that yes I used foul language, was I wrong knowing this is against the eula? yes of course.

there was a player in chat asking why he was unable to warp at some random said station... that lead to his demise being podded.

now upon beginning to try and ask questions as to why this happened what he may have done wrong what he did wrong and so on.

he was greeted by a message from mister ISD stating that WOW gives you cookies from lvl 1 - 80, and that eve laughs at you for bringing cookies anyway then eve takes your cookie....

eve does not....

now it was easy to tell the person was a newer player upon being podded he asked legitimate questions as to why he was just podded..

so for shiggles and to impress the other 800 or so people in chat he ruffles his feathers and basically tells the player to suck it up cupcake?

the guy has been an isd for 10 years? I hardly see how? he could have outstretched a hand to "help" the player understand the process of what had just happened to him that's his job right?

not to paste and copy some lame "saying" he thought was cool that he may have copy/pasted from someone's bio years ago.

so this threw me into my tantrum where as stated above I got totally out of line no doubt about it.

if this is the kind of "help" we can expect from 10 year members of the ccp community team..... god help any new players who really need help.


"help" chat seems to be a bit of a who's who of Epeen anyways..... 800 people that 753 of are obviously not "new" players self included.



could have gave the guy a break explained the process of what happened. not tell him he just lost his cookie sad move "isd" and CCP for giving this guy a whistle for 10 years

A useful answer in help channels can be snarky and still be helpful. In fact, those are the ones that stick with people the longest, as it has apparently stuck with you, so mission accomplished.

Also, ib4l. Discussion of moderation isn't allowed, you open a ticket if you want to whine about moderators.

Why didn't you just open a private convo with the newbie and give him your advice? Surely that would've been better than throwing a tantrum in the Help channel?
