You actually don't need any "minerals" to build capital ships - they are made from capital components. The number of components required will depend on the quality of the blueprint, the number of runs and the facility.

You do need minerals to make the components but that will also depend on the quality of the blueprint, the number of runs and the facility. A Thukker array will use fewer minerals than a POS component array which, in turn will use less than an NPC station.

I don't know of any tool that can deal with all the options - especially now that Engineering Complex rigs give different bonuses depending on the security status of the space they are anchored in.

The Fuzzworks tool https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/blueprint/ will tell you what you need for each component and the number of components you need to build the ship but you'll need your own spread sheet to multiply components x minerals per component.

ISK per hour also will get you very close to all the info you are looking for. It has not been updated for the new EC's either, but gets you very close.

There as was mentioned earlier your question is complicated a lot by the fact that you are manufacturing 10+ different components all with their own BPO's and requirements before you build the finished product.

Usually people whom are setting out on manufacturing this advanced build a spreadsheet to make sure they stay profitable. If not done right it would be real easy to pay more for the minerals and building fees than it would be to just buy the ship.

How about looking at the print, grabbing a calculator and punching in the numbers....
Trit x # of components = trit to build said ship....is it really that hard?

Since a carrier needs 13 different components, each of which use 7 different minerals...

Yeah, doing 91 different calculations on that might not be the easiest way to go.

That's what spreadsheets are for!

Don't forget that when using tools they'll give a ISK/hr for the lowest price on the market in the selected region. Often these are sold cheap for their location.

When selling look for alliance staging systems. Can never have enough dreads on contract. Especially if you're in Snuff. They lose those pretty frequently.

Why contract instead of regular market order?

EVE IPH does what you're looking for. Its thread is right here on the front page of S&I.

If you are in an alliance with doctrines for capital ships, the best choice is to sell a fitted doctrine ship on contract. From the customer point of view, it's 1 stop shopping, they don't need to bring the mods in from Jita separately. From your perspective it is a private contract with a 10K isk fee - much better than paying 2% sales tax and 3% brokerage!
