Avoid massive download: Need to transfer Eve installation between PCs

How do I transfer the Eve Online installation files from my laptop to home desktop computer, and then have the launcher detect those files when I check "Download everything"?

My home desktop is on a slow, metered connection, so I don't want it downloading Eve assets all the time. I need to have them already on it.

I've checked "Download everything" in my laptop's launcher settings, and everything is downloaded and up to date.

What do I do next?

Simplified version of my question:
Another way I could ask this question would be:

Is there any way to download Eve, and everything with it, onto one computer and install the entire thing on another computer so as to avoid another massive download?

SOLVED:

Quote:
If you want to download EVE on Windows in full up front, download the following file in addition to the installer above and place it in the same folder as the installer before running it. The installer will then extract the full set of resources for EVE from that file into the shared cache. Please have in mind that this file can be +7GB large.

This might be useful for players who wish to download the game on a different network connection from the one they play on.

You can copy EVE from one computer to another, EVE-Online is pretty much a standalone program, so doesn't need any installation process,

Just copy your 'SharedCache' and your 'Launcher' folder, also look in AppData/Local, there's another folder most likely called 'CCP' and last there's a 'EVE' folder in Documents.

Copy all these in the exact locations on the other machine and you are ready to go.

Arisidana, thanks for posting. Yeah, I should have done that, because I installed EVE Online using the assets archive. And STILL it wants to download an addition 1GB+ of stuff. Damn dude! I'm just gonna let it do it since download's free after 2 a.m.
