Tactical overlay move order

I was watching a gameplay vid from this guy, and at around the 12:55 mark he seems to give a move order to the ship through the tactical overlay, a bit like how move orders work in Homeworld games.

I was only aware of double-click and WASD movement, and I've looked at the keybinds list to try and figure out how to use this new third method, but I couldn't find anything. Anyone know?

I had to slow the video down to see what what he did there. Love Wingspan's vids :D

You don't even need the tactical overlay enabled (although it makes this easier). Hold down the Q button (or whatever the default approach / align button is) this will display a flat circle around your ship as in the video. Double click and your ship will approach that point on the edge of the circle. If you single click, you can mark a point on the circle, then mouse movement will allow you to select an elevated or lower point which a further double click will allow you approach.

holly crap! I can't believe that I am just now finding out about this. For years I've wished that this kind of thing existed and now I find out that it has and I just did not know about it. I feel like a total noob right now.

It took me 30 minutes to find this information. Holy **** Eve Uni or someone needs to do a basic tactical overlay tutorial
