Ok so I know I want to train up to use missile ships and Stealth bombers. Now I have a fairly good idea of the skills I need for that. But I also want to run Sniper Rail ships like the Rokh and the new tier 3 BC (cant remember the name just now) and I was wondering what skills people would recommend to support the skills to work up to T2 guns??

Uh, the gunnery support skills.

All of them.

Ok buddy I rarely give out free advice, but its christmas and I'm feeling saucy, so.

Skip railguns. Railguns are completely useless in pvp and they suck in general.

The first and probably last ship you'll ever need for caldari pvp is the drake, so get your heavy missiles, heavy assault missiles, and shield skills up first. Look up some fittings, its really not hard to fit a good drake.

Also FIT A WARP DISRUPTOR.

If you found this advice helpful, please send me some christmas money! 10 million isk suggested donation.

Well you first would want to train Amarr/Minmatar, that would be a good start

^ This... Caldari PVP.... I hope you're kidding! Other than the Drake and some EWAR ships of course. Do some research first or you're going to be one of those posting on the forms a year from now complaining about how Eve needs "balance".

Ok well for PvP the list of ships I was thinkin of is below. I am also going to aim for LOOOOOOooooong range Railgun sniper ships and by that I pretty much just mean the Naga and Rokh. Just because I like the idea so what the hell im gonna go for it.

Ok list of ships.

Caracal
Caracal Navy Issue
Cerberus
Drake
Scorpion Navy Issue
Widow
Tengu

And I think just about in that order.

I'm sure you can PVP in any of those ships but the only one I've used was the Drake. Except the occasional Caracal I lost to pirates early in my Eve life. Before you invest too much SP and time I would ask some PVP corps in game for thoughts. From my experience Amarr and Minmatar are preferred due to armor tank and guns. All the ships you mentioned are shield tanked missile boats. If it's an alt and you just want to try something different I don't see anything wrong with that but since most PVP isn't solo you're going to need some corp mates willing to accept your methods.

You should start out with the hookbill, a very good frigate and it´s not to expensive.

Your "LOOOOOOooooong range Railgun sniper ships" don't have enough oomph to kill most targets

I need new signature.

I can't help to get feeling that you are playing on (formerly)some1 else's account because you sound like a newcomer to Eve who thinks cov ops ninja style and sniping is bad ass. In practice it's not. In practise it's about instant Alpha damage, Caldari suck at all that but for the alpha.

If you are set on Caldari, like some else alrdy said, go for a Drake cause it's hard as nails and has a good buffer. As a bonus you'll end up with great options for PvE aswell.

However Minmattar and Amar is where it's at in terms of PvP. So if you are serious about effective PvP go for those races.

Edit: and to answer your question, see post #2

My list for you would be:

Caracal
Drake
.... (make loads of dosh)...
Tengu

Cerb = does more or less the same as a drake and tengu just not as good. therefor not included. Spensive-ish.
Navy Issue = people just love shooting shiney ships. This is to be used when you have more money than sense. Same can be said of Tengu.
Scorpion= BS, ewar and torps are in a totally different direction of skilltraining than the cara, drake and tengu.
Widow = just dont: expensive, limited use and even further of the path in terms of skilltraining
