Hey CCP, I first want to say as a miner I love the new mining ship skins that were added. They're pretty great looking and really help with trying to immerse into the space/factions/region. It makes the region feel more alive to have NPCs out doing activities and such nearby.

My big issue is that I'm high ranked with all the Minmatar mining corporations and I'd really love to get my hands on (nearly all) of the Mining ship Livery for the industrial stuff. The issue is that by attacking mining fleets I'd be taking a massive hit to my standings with corporations I have spent hours grinding out missions with solely to get decent refine rates at their stations. So my only option is really to purchase said skins, which is nearly impossible (out of all the Minmatar livery for instance, only three are on Market in my entire region, and all are for the least used ships.)

I'd like to suggest adding the mining liveries (for at least some of the actual lesser mining ships) to the LP store for the various mining corporations. It would give us something decent and unique to save up for and spend LP on.

Without the skins those fleets have zero utility as content. Furthermore you already have an alternative advantage because of your high standings given that these fleets will logi you.

Further, there should be down sides and up sides to standings, and this is one thing EVE has done extremely poorly up to this point. There was never a good reason to have low standings with any NPC entity, so all of standings is simply this massive grind to try and stay positive with everybody rather than an interesting set of decisions about who you'll **** over and who you'll make friends with.

You are now forced in to an interesting decision. That's a better system than the one you are sking for. It creates more necessity for player interaction and consequences both positive and negative for your choices.

Okay.... but what are your opinions on the actual content of this thread though?
